This location is hit or miss. Some days, it's empty and the equipment is working. Other days, it's packed and the equipment is acting up. Today was the latter. Full chargers and a steady line of people rolling by hoping to charge. Most people following good etiquette except for one Porsche driver who thought she was more important than everyone else and left her fully charged car parked for 30 mins while other people were waiting to charge.
Also, had a charger that refused to register as available after someone left so it took a phone call, which was a 20 min wait, to get EA to reset the charger, after which it worked fine and delivered an almost maxed 143 kW charging speed. Of course, because of the delay, I had to cut my session short to rush off and get home.
EA needs to get it's act together. The hardware seems to work fine, but the software is terrible. No live updates, the app takes forever to refresh, no way to queue up upon arrival, no process to boot people who charge to 100% when there's people waiting, and no penalty for blocking a charger after charging is finished. This company needs to rethink it's approach to the market and invest in educating it's audience as well as fixing it's absolutely...
Read moreThe wireless payment readers are always broken so I can’t pay using my electrify America account and I get really bad service here with Verizon and AT&T so I can’t pay for it using the app, I get a continuous loading sign on the app. Just so you know, I switched from Verizon to AT&T and it’s only a little better, but the app still doesn’t work. I have a new iPhone 14 Pro Max too. I like to come here because it’s close to my house, even though I have a Tesla and I have to use the Tesla CCS adapter. I think most cars that come here are able just to plug-in and play so this is probably a non-issue for them. To my knowledge, the plug-in and play for Tesla only works with Tesla chargers. Read moreNot only was one of the chargers offline, but this spot has 0-1 bar of service. For a bit it was in SOS only mode. When using a phone as your payment device… kinda a problem when it loses connection.
My car also stopped receiving power about half way through the charge. We’d walked to get coffee but with no service, there was no notice that it had stopped. They need to add a cell tower nearby otherwise it is a bad location...
