Bywater Sauna is truly something special! I’ve visited both the Alki Beach location and one of their special events, and every time I walk away feeling completely rejuvenated. Nate, who runs the sauna, has the coolest California surfer vibe—super laid-back, approachable, and always there with a warm smile. He’s genuinely one of the nicest people you’ll meet and makes the whole experience so much better.

The mobile sauna itself is amazing—perfectly designed (front viewing window), and clean. After a session, I feel like all the stress melts away. Plus, the setting at Alki with the beach right there adds an extra layer of relaxation.

If you’re looking for a unique way to unwind or something fun and healthy to do in Seattle, you HAVE to check out Bywater. Nate’s hospitality and the sauna experience are 10/10. I can’t...

Favorite new sauna in town started by the most welcoming founder, Nate! I tried the sauna on a Friday evening at Golden Gardens with a group of ~10 friends and it was such a good unwind from the week. The sauna has a direct path through the sand to the water, probably around 100 meters away, and Nate has buckets of water next to the sauna to clean your feet before re-entering it. Bring a towel to sit on in the sauna and another for drying off after you’re done. Thankfully Nate had an extra sauna towel that I was able to use, but it might be good to bring your own just in case. Love that the sauna is travelling around town too (Alki is the other location as of right now) - fun way to explore the city while...

I've had the pleasure of attending 5 or 6 sauna sessions at both the Seward Park and Alki Beach locations, and each experience has been fantastic. Both spots offer the perfect blend of rejuvenation and scenic beauty, with easy access to plunges in either Lake Washington or the Puget Sound. The views are great, whether you're gazing at Mount Rainier or the Seattle skyline. It's not just a treat for the body but also a wonderful reminder of Seattle’s natural beauty. Nate is a warm and welcoming host, always ensuring an enjoyable atmosphere. I can't wait for my next visit – it's become a favorite way to unwind and connect with the beauty of the...

Bywater Sauna is the jewel in the crown of Seattle's outdoors scene. Users have an hour to alternate between dipping in the ocean and heating up in a beautiful wood-fired cedar sauna. Operating early in the morning and through the evenings multiple days a week, including Saturday and Sunday, it's the perfect kickstart or refreshing end to a workday. The owner/operators Laura and Nate know attendees by name and hold court over the best community the PNW has to offer

I was so excited to find this and it exceeded my expectations! I’ve been in West Seattle and look forward to going regularly. The sauna is beautiful with a picture window that lets you look out over the Sound while warming up and it’s super clean. I loved meeting people from all over who have lots of sauna/cold plunge stories. It’s easy, welcoming and not intimidating if you’re a first timer.
