I looooove this place! Water, trees, wildlife, wonderful views all around. We've been here on bikes, just walking, and just for the playground. I love that we can do all three (and more!) in one place. Took the paved trail entrance near the clay/pottery class building, then up the old-growth forrest trail for about a 1/2 mile. Saw some fish, lots of turtles sunning on the logs, friendly people. Stopped and had a snack at the picnic tables looking out at the 520 bridge. Read moreGreat area for a walk. Parking area is small but even if you have to find parking in the residential area across the street, it's not an issue. There are are only a few benches and tables so I'd recommend bringing a blanket or your own chairs to sit on the grass. The lake views are incredible especially at sunset. Downside is amount of waterfowl poop all over the place. Because nature. Fishing is hit or miss from walkways and fishing docks. Would still return visit when I'm in town though.
