I think Third Place Books and the Raconteur restaurant are a wonderful place. I had a conversation with a friend over a really nice full bodied cup of their drip, after waiting while reading a book "Everything is F**" that I found there, which by the way I highly reccomend.

Afterwards I returned for a "Beyond Tree Hugger" meal, which was delicious. Anytime I have tomatoes with flavor, I suspect conciousness about the sourcing of their ingredients. That was amidst a eerily accurate-to-meat burger which was nice, plus more fries than was needed, which helped me on my hike for the day.

All this occured amidst a wonderful, spacious, well designed atmosphere of conviviality. It truly is the "third place" it aspires to be. Not work, or home, but a space where people can hang out, engage with new ideas, enjoy an eclectic mix of relaxing tunes at the proper volume, attend small concerts, have a great drink, and study.
