I've written a good review of Pizzuto's before, but unfortunately, it's gone downhill. We were there for dinner last night, and both the food and the service left something to be desired. The kids' food came out a good 10 minutes before the adults' food did, so by the time our food arrived, the kids were done eating.
Then there was the Campagnolo. I've had that dish at least a dozen times at Pizzuto's, and it's been pretty good. This time it was bitter, overwhelmingly garlicky, and really hard to eat. I don’t think I would have got better food if I was in Italy. Sauce was amazing. Bold flavors and perfect consistency, not watery or too thick. Wine was smooth and a perfect compliment to the dish.
I would definitely...
