Why is it that every American Library no matter what state you're in herds you out of the library at closing time! I went to this particular library for the 1st time and as usual got attitude from a large brown haired middle-aged female librarian. Computer shut down at 7:55 and quickly gathered up everything I had including CDs, a flash drive, my phone, and a USB cable. I event Wendover to look at the DVD selection as I had 5 minutes until close. As I looked through the selection of DVDs, this rude woman asked, "Do you have DVDs you need to check out?" There were three other people around me as she asked, so I figured since I wasn't looking for a check out yet and I still had time to look but she must have been speaking to someone else. She didn't address me directly but by the third time she asked, she was right next to me. I said, "Yes as soon as I'm done looking. Its 7:58 right? (INTERNAL CLOCK!!)" She looked at her watch and sure enough it was 7:58 pm. I continued looking as she continued to stand there. Apparently she has ADD because she had about about 10 seconds worth of patience before she continued. "Okay we're about to close and it would be great if you'd take your DVDs to check them out." I don't know about anybody else but I hate it when people word things in this manner and so sarcastically. Where I come from you would know better. Annoyed, I continued looking as she hovered, then went to check out. She then came up to the checkout counter and asked if I needed help checking out. Again repeating herself. At that point I informed her that the computer I was using seemed very slow, going through basic operating processes. I did not use the internet. At that time she informed me that it's closing time and and that I would have to leave, stating that this problem will be taken care of later. I then attempted to explain to her ate her a DD riddled mind that I was simply letting her know so that this issue could be addressed and so it was not an issue to another patron. This is a span of about 4 minutes maybe 5. If I come back this library and I'm her ass again I will definitely place a formal complaint. Tired of this sort of harassment.

EXTREMELY annoying that they do this to people at every single Library! I mean I can understand people not wanting to stay longer than they need to because they're not being paid for overtime, but it seems very cut-throat, like someone will harm their loved ones if they don't close the library exactly at 8! I don't appreciate it at all. Would like to know why they do this. Does anyone else...

The children's librarian is the best staff member of a library I've ever interacted with. She is friendly, approachable, and makes excellent recommendations! She talks to the kids directly and respectfully and is just a lovely person all around. Thank you for helping them form a positive overall feeling for libraries and reading! The library itself is really well laid out. The children can play and explore and read and not bother others in the library. I've been to other locations where I've seen children hushed by staff (Green Lake, Northgate) when they weren't making an excess of noise. Yes, children need to learn to use their library voices. But they're children! And they're in the library! Yay!! I'm so grateful for this facility and it's staff. My only suggestion is that I don't think we need iPads at the library. I would love a list of recommended apps and use some of the computers for educational games with a log in and time limit. But having the iPads out does make for some...

Went to Safeway near the library to get some documents faxed. I called prior to be sure this could be done. They said no problem. I get there and now I’m told they cannot fax something for me. So I called the local Fed Ex and they wanted to charge me $2 per page!! So I then called this library and they said they just got a new machine where you can scan then fax it. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. Especially Claire. She walked me to the machine and went step by step on how to use it. The process is very user friendly, costs you nothing and if you don’t have a library card, it’s ok! You can still use this service!!! Thank you public library for having this available to me and thank you Claire for your outstanding...
