I ordered the Cuban sandwich. I first asked where/how they incorporate the ham on the sandwich because mine did not have any. kitchen staff informed the server they chop it up and mix it with the pork. I could not find one single piece after pulling apart a full half of my sandwich. Next I noticed there was no pickles on the sandwich, but it did have jalapenos cut and cooked into it. Third the menu states there is Swiss cheese, but mine did not have Swiss cheese. Also, the menu does not say it comes with lettuce, but mine had lettuce on it.
Essentially the "chefs" then informed the server the menu they have in the kitchen and cook off of is different from the menu they hand out to customers. She said she called the manager and informed them the menu needs to be changed. (the online menu was the same as the menu I recieved while sitting down).
I work in a kitchen and you never look at a menu to cook what people order. ever. Unless you are brand new and learning, and if this is the case they give you the same menu being handed out to customers to read off of.
A Cuban is a very standard sandwich. It comes with cheese, pickle, pork, ham, and mustard essentially. I did not receive any possible rendition of such.
The service was good. The server was very friendly and handled all my questions with genuine curiosity, and reduced the price of my "cuban", which was essentially only a spicy pulled pork sandwich, in half. She gave me my lemonade on the house as well.
Wings were crispy, and a good price. Ranch was very runny/watery. It was not as creamy or flavorful as most from scratch ranch dressings are, which leads me to believe it was a powdered mix that you just add water to, and too much water was added. The herbs were too fine and dark to be the fresh cut parsley/chives you would normally see in a from scratch recipe.
The person with me ordered "The scramble", add sausage. A side of bacon was brought to us instead, which the server then comped and then brought us the sausage half way through the meal. Potatoes were underwhelming. As if they were roasted first to cook them completely, but then not brought up in the fryer long enough to crisp up the outside and finish cooking out the moisture on the inside. Toast (sourdough) lacked salt in the bread dough itself and was not toasted long enough.
Ceasar salad was dressed well, I enjoyed the shaved cheese and croutons. Lettuce was crisp. I ordered a lemonade and had a lemon wedge, which I used to adjust the acidity level of my dressing. It helped balance it.
The lemonade was good. Fries were good.
Overall the server did a great job making sure we were doing well throughout the meal.
The kitchen did not do so well, but I will be back again to sample something else before I make any decisions on this place.
Definitely somewhere to potentially get hot wings...
Read moreWent here on a rainy Sunday afternoon so it wasn’t busy. Maybe I visited them on an off day, but the King County inspection score posted on the door is low and my experience was meh, so I’ll probably avoid this place.
There were three employees working at the front and just one table of two people who already had their food. So no one was being served or in line before me. I ordered a single pastry and two of their seasonal drinks to go. They got one drink (a cider) completely wrong, even though it was their own seasonal…. I’m not exactly sure what happened with the second drink (a PSL), but they re-made it from scratch three times over before giving it to me.
While they were making my drinks, another customer came in and one employee took the order and rung the customer up but didn’t take their payment to close out the till. But then they hadn’t rung me up yet, so another employee canceled the customer’s order on the till and rung me up, but this apparently caused a whole cluster and significant confusion for all three employees at the front. Which in turn delayed getting both me and the second customer served and on our way. During all of this, a fourth employee was running back and forth, back and forth, back and forth from the kitchen to the front area because of someone else’s to-go order that had been called in, which just added to the overall chaos.
In short, the crew didn’t seem to have their act together. Maybe they’re all new employees and didn’t know how to make the drinks or ring up orders yet. The drinks were OK, but not worth the 25 minutes...
Read moreTo Karen and all recently disappointed customers that gave Bryant’s low ratings because they didn’t comply with new Kings County COVID-19 vaccine rules: if you are complaining that you went to Bryant’s for ten years and will not step a foot in because you didn’t have vaccine proof, don’t go in any more. As a meter of fact, stop going to any restaurant, cafe, bakery, gym, rec center, etc. Simply because you will not be allowed in because NEW King County vaccine rules. You probably had a great reason to visit certain places for ten years in the row. In Bryant’s case most likely food, service and atmosphere. But since you have no idea how to vent your little frustration, please don’t come here. I do not want my table next to you, inconsiderate, frustrated, confused person who cannot follow simple and important news and rules past two years. Yes your body is yours, you are in control of it, and do not worry other customers like me, we do not care. We will continue to visit our favorite places around the town. Meet friends and family. Have a fun time with stuff and taste some great food and drinks. Min time, you are welcome to have a takeout, eat outside the restaurant, or go around and complain. But try to be heard, call Kings County office next time and give them low rating, not your favorite food establishment. You will only damage your own reputation, not their. If you didn’t notice, County website and phone number are available on internet, and in front of every place you would like to visit this weekend, including...
