I have been coming here for 6 or 7 years, and have always really enjoyed it as an after work happy hour spot. They have a wide variety of drinks, and there is something for everyone. Their outdoor space is great during nicer weather.
However, I recently rented some of their space for a private event. It was a few hundred dollars to reserve an area of the tasting room, which we were ok with because we like the venue. The venue did not inform me that they were also holding an event that day. It was a karaoke event, with amplified music and singing. Though we were on the other side of the tasting room, it was nearly too loud to talk. I'm all for the event, I just wish they would have told me it was happening during my reservation time, as I may have gone else where. We were prepared for normal chattering volume levels, but not for amplified karaoke.
Additionally, to reserve the space, I had to put down a $50 deposit, and pay the remainder day of. They put my space reservation fee and my drink tab on the same ticket. When I went to close out I was informed that due to it being a large party, a 25% gratuity was required. This was not communicated ahead of time. I can understand that policy for the drinks (though everyone had separate tabs AND I still should have been informed before closing out), but because they kept everything on the same tab, I was forced to tip 25% on a few hundred dollars for space rental, which essentially increased the price of the space rental. Please make your policies clear ahead of time.
While I will likely be back for informal happy hours, I will reconsider renting...
Read moreNice vibe, sucks that the one and only TV was broken on the night of the 1st football game of the season but we watched it on a phone. There was no AC seemingly so it was super hot and when you’re getting tipsy the warmth is that much worse. The cider is a mix of yummy and mid. We tried several cider flights, about 12 flavors and I only really enjoyed maybe 3? Anyways the food was great, my partner and I tried the circus burger, basket fries and the popcorn chicken. WARNING: it’s not really popcorn chicken. I was hella hungry thinking it was actually gonna be popcorn sized and so I ordered the 20 piece, BIG MISTAKE, if you’re one person, order the 8 piece. It’s not popcorn sized or even chicken nugget sized. It’s like even larger than if you ordered boneless wings at wing stop. Not bad, just ordered too much food and I unfortunately get the OPPOSITE of the drunchies! Attached photo for reference. It’s delicious though and so...
Read moreI really hate to give this review because I used to really love this place and went weekly but it's definitely gone downhill. Prices of beer have gone up and there's less beer and more ciders and mostly just ipas. The restaurant that's attached used to be really, really good but it's definitely gone downhill where the prices are the same but you don't get sides anymore. I just paid $16 for a burger and it was ice cold. I will admit I was starving and excited to go back here. I ate quickly and left. Definitely really bummed about that I used to really love this place :-( I won't be...
