From the first moment I walked in I was so enamored in the best way. The atmosphere in general, but especially now that it’s decorated for the holidays, is so wonderful! This is the first salon I went to where they asked for my coat, I felt so fancy omg! first pic is where it all began, it was a sunset ombré and i did love it, but then i got bored so i went to see my stepmom (she has a salon like 2 hours away from me) and we bleached my hair. i knew the first bleach wasn’t going to get everything, my hair definitely looked patchy and and dry. i did my regular routine of washing and deep conditioning and all was well. after a little over a month i decided that i didn’t like the faded pinks and the purple (which turned blue in some areas), so i went to a salon closer than my stepmoms but still a little out of the way for me, via recommendation. i thought everything was going smoothly, my hair looked fine for the first two days. then i washed it and decided to comb out some tangles…. which is where hair started falling out! definitely not something i was used to seeing. so i went to google and bought all these hair masks and deep conditioners and nothing was really working. in desperation i googled salons close to me in west seattle, and found this lovely place. the website was super easy to navigate and i dove into the research and scheduled the first consultation as soon as possible. at the consultation it was decided that my hair was a disaster (which i knew just from looking at it), and i took home some medicated shampoo and conditioner, and a hair mask. i’m still on the regimen Shane recommended and after the first use i saw vast improvement! today i had my first actual appointment of many, and it was wonderful to say the least. Shane answered all of my questions and was a joy to talk to, as is the whole staff!! the ambiance and aura of the salon is truly amazing, it’s like a little slice of heaven in a wonderful neighborhood! i don’t have many selfies of me during the period where my hair was super damaged (for obvious reasons) but i included a few as before photos for reference. the after photo is just the start of the journey to where i want to be, but leaving the salon with more natural and healthy looking hair was the best feeling ever! and the haircut is everything to me, for the first time in my life someone actually cut the bangs the way i’ve always envisioned (and finally finding a reference photo was helpful lol) i also got my brows tinted by the lovely Sean, they look so amazing and it actually looks like i have eyebrows behind my glasses now!! i truly cannot wait for my next appointment with Shane to continue this hair journey, and Sean to help with skincare! i am recommending this salon to literally everyone i know, services and amazing skills aside, the welcoming atmosphere of it all is enough!! for all of the services they offer and the end results the prices are more than reasonable, and they have a rewards system which is super cool!! if you’re looking for a new salon, look no further than here!!

I had the BEST haircut at this salon so I felt I could trust them to color my hair. I spent $360 to have my color not be what I wanted. They attempted to correct the color but it did not fix the issue whatsoever. I’ve spent an additional $644.83 to have it temporarily fixed at two salons since my color appointment. These temporary color corrections have since faded back to how it was during my initial appointment at this salon. I typically get my balayage color done in one single session at other salons I’ve visited, so I expected I could get the same here. The first image is what I showed and the two photos show what I got, which was completely brassy hair. The other stylists who have attempted to fix my hair at other salons have 100% validated that the color I got was brassy, and not “warm” as what was mentioned during my appointment at this salon. I felt blamed for not getting the color I wanted because I trusted them to not need a consultation prior, and felt I’d be able to show what I wanted in a photo, and speak about what I wanted clearly enough on my appointment day. But that unfortunately was not the case. I would have never spent $360 to have my color done here if there was clear communication that this color could not be achieved from my natural, but that was not communicated. Additionally, the colorist that did ombré on my hair instead of balayage, was working on completing a balayage certificate during my appointment. That information did not give me confidence. Customers should not be blamed for not getting what they want, especially when it’s not clearly communicated that a specific hair color cannot be achieved. I also did not appreciate being told that the color was not brassy. It made me feel like I was being manipulated. **Update a year later: I never received any contact from the salon regarding the refund they offered. They’ve only communicated once via this review. Even though they have my contact info, I have yet to receive my full refund from the visit. This refund was offered via a response on this review. My hair is still ruined despite three corrective color attempts (one by them and two by another salon). The color has since faded back to the orange and brassy ombré color I received during my appointment with them. This has been the main negative thing in my life over the last year and sadly my attempts to pretend my hair isn’t ruined, doesn’t work. I would love to feel 100% confident in myself but my hair makes me feel like I’m at 60%. At this point, all I want from this salon is follow-through on the refund they offered. They have my contact info in their system to make this happen.

Jaimei literally blew away my expectations and I never knew I could be THAT girl with THAT hair! I had been dying my hair black for years and last year chopped it all off and started going for a “lived in California brunette” vibe - the salon that started these services for me literally highlighted my hair and toned it and I just assumed that was how it was…? And they charged an arm and a leg for it. I went to that same salon for a touch up and they left my hairline ORANGE and I went back in twice to have it fixed and my hair turned out RED 😭 I decided to give West Seattle Salon a try to fix it instead of going back into the other salon. Number one, can we talk about how beautiful this salon is?! The owners both took a look at my hair and instantly recommended for me to have a consultation with Jaimei. She instantly understood what I was looking for, made me feel so comfortable and I just put my trust in her magical hands. She actually added dimension, depth, and blondes that complimented my skin tone. She LISTENED. She made me feel like a queen throughout the entire appointment, and kept the integrity of my hair with K18 treatments throughout the whole process. I decided to not look until she was finished and seriously - I was absolutely blown away. I’m 35 years old and I’ve never left an appointment that happy about my hair, especially after the mess the salon prior had caused. Also - she did a complete color correction plus k18 treatment for only $150 more than what the salon downtown charged me for a partial (that they couldn’t get right after 3 tries). Jamei, you’re my new girl for life. Seriously, thank you so damn much ♥️
