World's Largest Time Capsule — Attraction in Seward

Not the zestiest piece of excitement to see, but it is still interesting to read about what is inside if you have the time to stop by and see it. On Friday, July 18th my wife and I retrieved proof coin sets that my parents put in the time capsule. 2 envelopes were in great shape while one had deteriorated a bit. But for being underground for 50 years pretty good condition.

I have added a picture collage with the coins, disintegrated $2.00 bill and multiple photos from the opening.

It was exciting to see these after 50 years of complete darkness and untouched for that...

I was 14 years old when this was constructed and our scout troop had a part in collecting items to be stored in it. Yes, there is a yellow Vega in it along with a large variety of other items. I plan to be there in 2025 to see it all again!!
