On Tuesday, March 16th I called and ordered a GE washing machine over the phone. The sales lady told me it would be there either Friday the 19th or Monday the 22nd because it was a special order. I was happy with that because it was cheaper than I had found it online, so no big deal. Monday evening, I hadn't heard a word from them so I called and asked the status of where it was. They couldn't find me by my name and after a long time of searching, I had to dig up the model # for the washer, and they still couldn't find it in their system, finally they found it by my phone number. This initial disorganization should have been a warning sign to me. The girl told me it would be another couple days or possibly up to a week before it arrived. At this point, I'm aggravated because I was straight up lied to on the phone about availability. I had to pre-pay for the washer which I never should have done, because now instead of going to Lowe's and walking out with a new washing machine, I HAVE to wait because they have my money hostage. Well, Friday evening rolls around and I still haven't received a phone call, so I called them. AGAIN! AGAIN, they couldn't pull up my name or phone number and it took over 35 minutes for them to find me after I gave them the model number for the machine. Oh well now lo and behold, it is there! It has BEEN THERE for over an hour but now it's 15 minutes until closing on a Friday and sorry, EVEN THOUGH OUR GOOGLE LISTING SAYS WE'RE OPEN ON SATURDAYS AND WE LIED TO YOU ABOUT THE AVAILABILITY DATE, there is absolutely no way they can accommodate me for a late Friday evening or Saturday pickup. What a JOKE of a business. I tried to support a local place but never again. You lied to me and inconvenienced me and now I have to utilize a laundromat AGAIN because of YOUR screw ups. I understand you didn't have anything to do with my washing machine breaking but you sure didn't make this an easy process. I will never shop here again and warn everyone I know. --- UPDATE: my dad went to pick the washer up for me because I work normal working hours & they hassled him for over 20 minutes saying they couldn't find the washer anywhere because they couldn't find me in their system. Read moreI am in the final phases of a new beach house project!!! Early on, my amazing and best-in-Brunswick County builder pointed me to this reliable…and local!!…store. First, I had to be my own interior designer🤪 since we had spent quite a bit on custom-drawn house plans by a well-respected Charleston, SC architect. I wanted to do this beautiful and well built home justice and choose lovely, but affordable, finishes. Shallotte Electric associate ANGIE GREEN worked tirelessly to pull together and to see that I got exactly what I wanted/envisioned in the realm of plumbing and lighting fixtures as well as some other finishes. She always was quick to reply to my requests as well as to resolve any issues that inevitably arise during a home project. Angie and Shallotte Electric solidly earns five stars from this (tired but) happy homeowner. I...
Read moreThis place is a conundrum and the reviews support that. It's either great or a waste of time depending on what time and what day you get there. They are what makes Amazon successful. Customer service was really nonexistent when I went there about a week ago. There were 3 people working there. One at the check out, seemingly confused by a customer, one cruising the store, and one in the corner at the "control station". There were 3 of us customers. A customer older than I told me he didn't know where anything was anymore since they remodeled and I was trying to chase down the other gentleman in the store whom I have seen working there before. But to no avail. The other customer and I shrugged our shoulders and went out to our respective trucks. They must not need individual customers . Amazon...
