Pour House — Restaurant in Shallotte

My boyfriend and I had gone to pour house over the summer and would’ve given it 5 stars. However, we bragged about pour house to our friends and begged them to meet us there to try it. Not only was our beer flat but most of it was foam. I decided to switch to the bar after the beers weren’t great because I was excited to try it. Not only was the bartender very unenthused, but acted annoyed to make my drink. I waited for it and was met with the worst margarita I’ve ever had. When I went to go settle my tab I placed the margarita on the counter to show I hadn’t drank any of it. Instead of asking if they could remake it or atleast take it off the tab, they discreetly got rid of it and still charged me. Honestly, as a person who has worked in the service industry and so has my boyfriend, I was more upset by the lack of care or effort made to ask about my experience of curiosity as to why the drink was not touched. Went to Pour House in Wilmington and really enjoyed it. Was expecting the same for Shallotte, however not the case at all.

Let me start with the positive, the atmosphere was great, the bar tender was nice.

Now, the negative. The cost was crazy, for a few samples, 1 Oz pours and then one beer and a small wine, over $20 bucks!

Additionally without my knowledge I was charged for two aluminum cups. I believe $4 bucks. I didn't want them and the General Manger reassured me I could bring them back. Of course, the chances of me returning with these cups is zero!

Now to the General Manger, when I brought up the high cost, I was told I was the only person that had ever complained. ( Which could be true but I seriously doubt it is).

Literally horrible… Would give it a 0 i’d i could. 3 of us went, went to open seats at the corner of the bar, ids and card out ready to go.. Got ignored MULTIPLE times by the bartender. She would walk to where we were seated, then turn around and go find something else to do or greet people who showed up way after us. Got up and went to the middle of the bar instead.. She ignored us again🙃 Went to the end of the bar and hung out with who i’m assuming are her regulars. Looks back at us and turned back to talk to them..
