Shallotte Riverwalk — Attraction in Shallotte

It would be such a great place to walk, actually it is a super place to walk but too many smokers on the boardwalk while you are trying to enjoy a brisk or cozy walk with your spouse stinks it up so bad you have to leave. There is No Smoking signs in each of the Gazebo's but not on the boardwalk. This park needs to be a Smoke Free Environment. Friendly Polite Staff * Yes indeed. Handicap Parking and Environment is in place except bathrooms....

It does not matter if you have been a resident of Shallotte for many years or if you are a visitor who comes to the beach and just go to Shallotte to buy groceries or something else. I encourage you to go to this Riverwalk and see the other face of Shallotte. Very nice view and (despite the mosquitoes) it is worth it. Just try to pick a time of the day where there are no mosquitoes, or bring a good repellent and you will...

I give it a five because it is handicap friendly. I can wheel up the boardwalk in a manual wheel chair easily. The restrooms are only a potti-john, so that makes it hard to stay long enough for lunch. Looking over the salt marsh is nice. However, seeing the houses across is a negative.
