Definitely a great experience. Food was a bit pricy, but everything was great all around. TOP TIER service.

Food: The food was great. I got a draft Voodoo Ranger Hazy IPA, and it was incredible. I started the night off with an order of the firecracker shrimp, and it was GREAT. The shrimp was so fresh, and the serving size was solid. I ordered the pick 3 seafood combo, with grilled shrimp, grilled oysters, and fried flounder. Again, shrimp was great, and so was the oysters. Both were very fresh. The flounder, however, was more breading than fish. I really should have gotten it grilled. Fried wasn’t really great. My girlfriend got the wings and they were also good. Definitely big, but I personally wouldn’t say they were jumbo. Better than 99% of wings, though.

Price: Pricing was interesting. For fresh seafood, a high price is worth it. No complaints there. The wings were a bit pricy, and for 2 people, with an appetizer, and an alcoholic beverage for both, the total was 80ish dollars. A bit much.

Service: This is the first 1 I have ever given for service I think. She was incredible, I wish I remembered her name. She was so personable, great with our 10 person party, and just felt like a friend. Food was fast, drinks were fast, perfect.

Facilities: Facilities was a bit small. Very clean sports bar environment. Only thing I would worry about is parking in peak season. It was small, so I can see long waits in peak season.

Satisfied?: Overall, satisfied. Great experience, food was good, pricing was the only meh. Seafood was good.

Absolute horrendous staff! We were warned not to go because the staff doesn’t like anyone they perceive as not local, but we went anyway. Arrived at the restaurant and it was busy but not crowded..checked in with hostess...she proceeded to walk us past available tables and booths and took us to a booth directly across from the doors to the bathrooms. We asked to be in the main restaurant. She didn’t say anything and walked away. We returned to the front and asked if we could have a booth in the main dining room. A booth became available, the hostess started to clean it, but continued to leave a few things on it. We were the only ones waiting. Finally another couple walked in and she immediately finished cleaning the table, picked up the menus, and promptly told the people behind us that they could have the table. We were stunned! Before they were seated we asked what she was doing and she said she had already seated us and she would not let us have another table. WTF! We had been standing at the front waiting for 15 minutes...we asked to speak to the manager and her friend next to her tried to act like she was the manager and proceeded to tell us that we had already been given a table and they don’t let people sit wherever they want. We walked to the bar and found the real manager, Chris, he was very apologetic and wanted to accommodate us, but upon explaining what the hostess had done and watching her grin about it as we explained what had happened...we chose to leave. It’s a shame, the restaurant is really cute inside, but as a property owner we will never return and will ensure that we warn people that the manager is nice, but the staff is deceptive and is not to be trusted with you...

This was my first time ever going was at oak island on vacation and chose this place to get a fish sandwich plate so I ask what was on it over the phone because something’s I can eat so I was told lettuce ,tomato and onion. So I ask for no onion and when I got my plate checked it and there was onion. On it so I told the bartender she said no there’s not I opened rhe box and showed her. Wasn’t mad at all so waited for another when it come out didn’t check because I was assuming it was right the onion is the only thing that was wrong so so. As get back to my vehicle I opened it and it had melted cheerse which did not the first time so went back told the same. Bartender and she said they come that way I said I wasn told that on the phone when I ask so then she went back and then brought my plate back out I checked it then ask if they had Togo cups she said yes so I ask if I could have a cup of ice and she gets a cup barely puts any ice in it and gives it to me no lid or straw I needed because my drink was getting warm from the long wait on my food that I called in 15 mins before arriving so I had to ask the other 3 ladies at the register and the seating area to get me one I’m from Rockingham nc first time eating there with the worst experience from the bartender Katie as I was there 3 men came in to order and was asking questions on food she never looked and them starting at the register no smile someone like that needs to be I.
