Not worth the money. Manager is rude.
We went on a Thursday afternoon for a friend’s child’s 12th birthday meet up.
Manager saw us walking in and immediately started yelling at us about our coffee drinks. We told him we would finish them and throw them away before entering.
The manager asked me what package we would like to purchase and our friends were immediately to the left so I responded “one second, let me ask our friends what package they did. I couldn’t find anything on the website because the website is bullshit”. I came back and got in line with the female worker instead preferring to not deal with this man any longer. She asked what package and pointed to the laminated paper on the sign (Attached to this review). I said “we will only be here a couple hours so I guess just the unlimited one” she asked if I had done the waiver and I said “no, sorry I couldn’t find it on the website” she handed me a little tablet and I started filling it out. In the meantime she started ringing me up and my husband was handing her cash. I said “wait did you see this weekday package” and she said “I’ve already rang it up” so I asked “can you cancel it and ring it up as this one? We won’t be here 3 hours” she stated that she couldn’t do a refund and I asked if they could credit it to arcade credits to which she said no.
We proceeded in to meet with our friends and I went straight to the nearest trash can to throw away my drink and did.
The manager on my way to the trash can was yelling ma’am at me again so I held my drink where he could see me throw it away. He seemed to back down at that point.
I told my husband about the interaction and he went and asked the manager if he was rude to me. The manager then told him he was going to have to kick us both out for being rude. My husband was extremely nice to him and other than saying their website is BS (It is, I’ll stand by that) neither of us raised our voices or said anything rude to him or any staff.
All other staff seemed nice, the manager was the only rude one.
If you come during the day by yourself be prepared for your kid to be bored as there won’t be anyone to do activities with.
There’s also a height gap where a lot of 10-12 yr olds will be too tall for the kiddie carts and too short to drive the go-karts. They have to be 58 inches to drive go karts and if they are over 52 inches they can’t ride the kiddie carts. The kids could only do the foam pit, laser tag and the spinny bumper carts. They were not interested in bowling or mini golf and not all kids paid for the arcade games on top of the steep $30+tax event price.
Save your money and go somewhere else. Honestly...
Read moreI am absolutely disgusted at the way Nathan, an employee at this establishment treated my guest and I today. This was many of my guest first time visiting Rush Funplex and they did not ask to be treated unkindly and spoken to so rudely. I booked a party room for two hours ,as well as , bought 20 wristband passes so that my guest could enjoy my son’s birthday party. First, Nathan checked me into the my room and explained that I needed to sign a waiver. I let him know that I wanted the punch passes. His demeanor changed and he signed as if that request annoyed him. I let it go and went to the front desk.
Second, the party room next door had a huge accident causing a huge puddle of water to flood part of my party room floor. There was a 30 minute delay for my party guest as it took time to track the manager on duty, Shawn, down in order to get the large area of water mopped up. This caused a delay for our time in the room. As a result of the thirty minute delay, we were packing up to be out of the room at 6:00, instead of 5:30.
As my guest and I were cleaning up all of our trash, Nathan rudely interrupted us and chastised my guest for not being out of the room at 5:30 even though we had a delay from the other party room causing a major spill. My guest was not the host and did not deserve to be talked to in the manner in which Nathan did. I spoke to the manager on duty, Shawn, again! I informed him of Nathan’s inappropriate nature to my guest and I . Shawn refused to do anything about it. His words were exactly that. “ I can’t do anything about it”.
The party room plus passes cost me over $350. For my guest and I to be treated the way we’re treated for the amount of money that I spent is terrible. The manager Shawn, refused to rectify the situation on top of the delay that we incurred because of another party’s accident. Our experience at RushFunPlex Shawnee was negative and...
Read moreWe arrive there about 12:00 noon, a party of (7) and we paid the extra $5 for an all-day event, $30 a head which came out to about $230. We were able to participate in everything except the arcade games which was okay. Later on that day we ordered pizza and drinks for the party. The pizzas were like 18 bucks a piece and the drinks were like $4 for 32 oz cup. That came out to about $90. To be honest the pizzas were not that good, I had to have them reheat them because they seen somewhat cold. I have to let them know to put very little ice in the cups because if you want a refill that's an extra $2 per cup. The good thing about paying the extra $5 for an all-day event is you can leave and come back with no questions asked, so if you want to leave and go eat and then come back and resume your play time that would probably be a lot better because you can save some money that way. Be sure to keep your paper bracelets on your wrist when you leave and come back, just so there's no problem. Overall we had a great time, you were able to ride and play these games as much as you like while you're there and then like I said you can leave and come back and keep on playing until they close. So it's not a bad place, it's somewhat costly but hey it cost to...
