Not kidding: it's my new favorite pizza.
Early this week, a person shared a leftover slice of Greek (minus olives) and I was pretty impressed.
Tonight we went and had one chicken spinach Alfredo, and one combo. (smalls, original crust). 10/10, both pies.
The pizza is served on a dish with raised bumps, so the crust never becomes soggy with grease or spilled sauce -- not that it even was too greasy. Brilliant. The texture of the crust was perfect.
The onions and pepper on the combo were the perfect consistency for me. And their sauce, cheese, and spices worked great together. That part goes for both pizzas. Our spinach wasn't overcooked, yet the crispy finish atop the Alfredo was divine.
I didn't need Parmesan.
Food was out in a very reasonable time, the room temperature was good. The place before glory days was always a bit insufficient on correction, and humid. Take-home boxes are already folded and stacked for you next to the soda fountain.
Most interesting about the inside is the chairs. There's this trend these days for these metal chairs where the stile reaches to the front legs, and frankly they pinch your thighs. Somewhere along the way, somebody made the decision to have an extra inch of wood added to the seat, and it raises you away from the stiles, and it's comfortable now. You'll come in, see the kind of chairs, probably get viscerally annoyed, but hey, don't worry about it this time.
The garish coloring outside the restaurant really does glory days...
Read moreI have had this pizza place now 3 times and waited to wait and give it the benifit of the doubt however I'm still left under whelmed and under impressed. On my first visit I had what I've been told is their claim to fame pizza THE BAKED POTATOE PIZZA which was good until I got into my second and third slices. I started noticing bites and chunks of potatoes that were still cold and crunchy instead of soft. Which brought me to my second ordering time of which brought me to order the Greek because who doesn't love Alfredo sauce and steak how ever when the pizza arrived the presentation was just awfully thrown together and my crust was burnt. Which again wanted to give the benefit of the doubt because I love pizza and everything pizza. So I tired a 3rd time this time ordering a simple plain old fashion pepperoni pizza for my family and boy was it good if I would have known that the amount of pepperoni per large pie was so minimal like there were multiple bits per slice where there were not even pepperoni on to or under the cheese. I will prolly go back because #pizza just wish you guys were as good...
Read moreWhere to start??!! In a time where most dining out experiences have been incredibly disappointing, Glory Days knocks it out of the park! They have the super trifecta of delicious food, reasonable prices and incredible customer service. It was our first time in and Cassie was not only super friendly, but genuinely helpful with all our questions. The pizza was hot fresh and delish. The sausage they use is some of the best I've had on a pizza, definitely not subpar. I believe the owner came up, and asked how everything was. Offered a cookie to my little one and then ended up giving us all one. Definitely not expected but much appreciated. All the staff was delightful and you can tell in a world where the food business and it's staff have struggled, this place has maintained a wonderful environment. We will be back and singing your praises any...
