Let me drop some knowledge. You know how I do it.
Now, I went there one time, cause I saw on the web, some comic boxes that hopefully might of contained some comics I was looking for to finish a set. So I drive way out of my way, thru downtown Seattle, which I hate, to get to Arcane comics. Now, I get inside, not to shabby, full of stuffz, 3 people that I see working there. I introduce myself, say this is my first time, I came here for this, yada yada. I spend like 100 bucks or close that day. They take my name, and my request. And say the owner, WHO was also there in the back, will have to goto their offsite storage and check. Ok, with that. I leave. So far, good customer service, good banter. Im thinking hey not a bad waste of gas to get to these guys. A day or two later, I sign up for the website, I also call and say hey any status? Nope, he hasnt went yet. Im thinking well crud, maybe they go once a week or something. Ok, Ill chill. After a week, I send a email thru their site, and also call. Im told nope. He or NO ONE has went. So what do the other three people there do then? only the owner goes to the offsite place? seems stupid, especially if you would be trying to keep new customers. So this morning, I called, almost 2 weeks now, and say I could of ordered these from somewhere else in the world and already got them. Cancel my order. And Im done. Good job owner. I spend alot of money on comics, and you lost a potential great customer. Maybe get off your lazy ass next time and do some customer...
Read moreThe gentleman was extremely rude. I brought in my comic collection and was looking to maybe sell the whole collection or just bits and pieces of it. So when I brought it in, he opened it up and immediately scoffed at my collection as if I don't know anything about comics, and he looked at my collection that I spent Years putting together and told me how what he saw in front of him was no more than scratch paper and there wasn't anybody that was going to want any of it. I felt extremely minimized and embarrassed considering there were a couple other people in the store at that same time. I will never go to that location ever again. I've never been treated so disrespectfully. I may not know a lot about comics, and certainly the stuff I had may not be what other people, what or are looking for and I can accept that explanation but the way in which he made me feel embarrassed it wasn't shocking. He's a mister, know-it-all? And beware, if you go in there, expecting...
Read moreI really like this comic shop. The guy who runs it is super helpful and knows the value of customer service. He's always making recommendations and taking the time to explain the answers to my questions. This store has an awesome selection and a dedicated area for all-ages comics that my kids love. The store is family friendly and inclusive for people from all walks of life. This is not your stereotypical "comic book guy" type place. I could ramble on all day about how welcoming this store is. Also as a side note, they are practicing very safe procedures during the pandemic. They require masks, ask customers to hand sanitize, all books are in plastic, they limit customer count, the manager is disinfecting regularly, online ordering and curbside pickup is super...
