The Mediterranean Oasis is a hidden Gem located in the Parkwood plaza of Shoreline. Upon first impression the store front noticeably stands out in comparison to its neighbors due to a Custom made tube chef that gestures you to take enter aswell as a high quality business sign. This place has somewhat of a side quest appeal to it . Before even entering this beautiful grocery store , butcher , restaurant combo I was greeted outside by Mostafa and a table of samples . I immediately fell in love when I was explained each dish down to its origins. The atmosphere feels very welcoming with each individual employee happy to walk through the store with you and help pick groceries out. This was definitely needed for my first couple of visits but I can say that after a week of switching to this grocery store It feels like home . Something I feel the Safeway in the Parkwood plaza is lacking . After finding out about this place I’ve substituted anything I can buy from here such as meats, cheeses ,drinks, oils and more . My grocery bag is normally pretty consistent getting a dish of baba ghanoush , precooked/seasoned kebabs (varying meat choices) , Zaatar seasoning , 4 bags of pita chips , one bag of fresh made pita bread , and I always grab atleast a couple of exotic drinks all under 50 bucks . The people who work here are extremely thought full towards customers and that’s very appreciated that’s why I am more than happy having a tip option at the register . The people who work here truly take pride in going above and beyond expectations. The store is kept spotless daily , everything is kept organized in single file evenly spaced. Last time time I went I had a questions about a meat pie, so the chef who makes them came out and told everything from what to do and what not do, wanna know what something says because you can’t read it no worries they will read it for you . Want to learn about other cultures, try new foods , support local I’d highly recommend taking a chance and seeing what this place has to offer .

Update 2024: I recently visited after the change in ownership and it really feels like the new owners took the store and restaurant to a new level. They did some nice renovations in the eating area as well as added some new paint and pillars. I also liked seeing the free samples outside the front door and the inflatable chef waving it's hand. As for the grocery store, it was nicely stocked compared to the last few years of the previous ownership. The people were friendly as well. The best part though was the chicken shawarma. It was great before the new owners but I think it's even better - the seasoning on the chicken, tender grains of basmati rice, the hummus, fresh salad, and the tasty garlic sauce all made from an even better dish. Even the pita was better pillowy and soft - I think they use Alida Bakery pita now which is my favorite Middle Eastern bread bakery around. Overall, an amazing place to visit. Definitely recommended! Previous visit with previous ownership in 2019: I recently visited Mediterranean Oasis on a Saturday afternoon. It is a restaurant and store combined. The store has a lot of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean goods from drinks, desserts, spices, cookware, pita, bulk items, etc. I mainly ventured in for the restaurant however and it did not disappoint. The person who took our order was friendly and the gentleman who brought out the food made us feel welcome. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate and it was ready in about 10 minutes. The chicken was nicely seasoned and the paprika on top added a nice extra bit of dimension and spice. The yellow rice was delicious as well with a meaty flavor, possibly chicken broth based. The plate also came with pita, hummus, a side salad, and a garlic sauce. The pita was soft and pliable and paired nicely with the hummus and chicken. The garlic sauce was great as well and I could eat that stuff for days. One plate was a good amount for two people to eat and be satisfied. I would definitely return.

Delicious food, very kind and welcoming service. Everyone that I interact with is always friendly, helpful, and willing to answer any questions. I'm slowly learning more about this cuisine each time I come here from the knowledgeable staff. I first found this place due to their free samples out front and a friendly man that explained what everything was very clearly and encouraged me to try everything, he even walked me inside and showed me around for next time. There's new management within the last year or so and they're still working on drumming up business. Most of the food at the restaurant half of the store is just a little over $10 and they stuffed my gyro full of my chosen protein <3 Everything was so fresh and the flavours were distinct. I ate my lamb&beef gyro from the side due to how they stuffed the pita pocket and you can tell that it was made with care. They also have free tea (sometimes it's cold but I'm sure they'd make you some hot if you asked! I just like it both ways ^_^) I think it's black tea with mint, and is very smooth and refreshing. The other half of the store is a little grocery market where they keep their fresh baked pita bread and some specialty dry goods. There hasn't been any music on either of the times I've been there so you won't have to worry about being over stimulated in this calm and friendly environment. *Editing to add that I forgot to mention that the walkway to and in the restaurant area is very wide and accessible friendly. That the food was made very quickly and could easily be a lunch-break stop! And that it's right next to Safeway and the Town & Country market in case you were on a grocery run and wanted some tasty food or Mediterranean grocery items. This place is easy not to see, so search it out and come by!
