I like the soft sandy Beach. But I do have a 2 year old and I feel the beach is great . But if I want to grill out. And hang out in the pavilion area . The toddler play ground area is super super small. The big kids area is nice and big and inviting plenty of room to run around. But not suitable for a 2 years old . Because you have very big kids playing in that area running around being rough. Which can cause a toddler to get hurt. So that's why you stick to the toddlers area . But the toddler area lacks play area. Just a small little slide and a little few things in its own boxing thing tucked away in a little corner . But nothing biggy. Other than that awesome...
Read moreGreat place to spend the day. Get there early because parking will fill up quickly. I do recommend a cart or wagon that is designed for the beach, to haul any and all heavy items you might have down to the beach. The playground area is clean and well shaded for lunch and has BBQ grills for use (Bring a wire brush and some aluminum foil though). The down side is: Traffic to and from the beach is insanely outrageous! Everyone was rude and in a hurry and seemed ok with trying to hit us with thier car. Now, all they have a are outdoor showers for rinsing off the sand. Still need to get a proper shower before going out to eat at the many restaurants on Siesta Key.
