American Mattress Family — Attraction in Simi Valley

Absolutely amazing experience!

My mom was visiting, and the mattress I had for her in the guest room was flimsy and uncomfortable. In a pinch, I Googled ‘Mattress Company Simi Valley’ and found two places. I called the first one but only got a voicemail during business hours. I tried their website, but it was broken. I never got around to calling the second place due to family distractions. About an hour later, I called the first company again and spoke to a monotone man who said they could deliver a mattress the next day. I was hoping for same-day delivery but decided it would have to do.

On the way there, I mentioned to my mom that the guy at the first store rubbed me the wrong way and suggested we check out the other place we found on Google before committing. As we pulled up, I noticed a subtle Bible scripture on the front glass, which made me smile since it was about lying down in peace.

We parked, walked inside, and were greeted warmly. We found the perfect mattress and asked about delivery. The owner said, “I will drop it off at your house on my way home from work.” No delivery charge, no hassle—just incredible customer service.

But it didn’t stop there. As we sat down to pay, we enjoyed an amazing conversation, heard a touching and inspirational life testimony, and, being fellow believers, we even prayed together before leaving.

My mom and I left filled with joy, deeply inspired by the experience.

This review isn’t about promoting the store as a “Christian thing”—it just happened to go that way. I'm writing this review to share that this is where you want to do business: a clean, welcoming store with a great selection and prices, and most importantly, an owner with integrity and exceptional customer service.

I will definitely be back for future purchases.

On a whim I went in and checked out some beds since I was in need of one but don't like to shop for these things. Salesman Samuel was friendly but not overly so definitely not pushy. I kind of picked one but decided I would come back later after work..ended up a week later than expected but when I saw they didn't have the mattress I liked week before the owner was there personally loading up mattress for someone and quickly gave me a great price and Samuel set it all up with delivery for the most more than reasonable price I have come across. Delivered just an hour ago as I write this. Delivery guys were absolutely awesome and so polite, friendly and more than helpful. All around a 10 out of 10 experience. I cannot begin to describe the top tier customer service this amazing place has! I called about 10 mattress stores trying to find a box spring and I did find stores with slightly cheaper options, but their customer service was the reason I turned them down. Not to mention the other places were quickly trying to get me off the phone and sell me things I did not want or ask for.

After talking to Travis about what I was looking for, he found the best option for me and really worked with my schedule. He explained he would be leaving soon & passed me along to Samuel, who is awesome! They got me what I needed in a hurry and I am truly grateful for their help!
