It's a good Home Goods. Clean, good assortment of items at good prices. No problems except a bit of credit card pushing, but that's a given with TJMaxx, Marshall's, and Home Goods. They got me. I got one last year. BUT. Today I was bummed to see 5 different dogs while I was inside. (And I'm not an animal hater - we love our animals but leave them at home, unlike my MIL who actually has/trains and needs a service dog). And I always expect and allow room for an occasional holier-than-thou human who thinks they can do what they want - but FIVE AT ONCE?! And when you ask an employee and they awkwardly say they think they allow dogs?! My goodness...Management needs to step in and provide some training and a little backbone. One dog was barking, two were off leash... that's a liability, guys. If you've ever met a real service dog (which honestly, you may never have since they're incredibly rare) - you can tell from first glance. No need for an interview. They don't even look around without permission, let alone bark or need constant redirection. One entitled human/dog on leash/reasonably well behaved? - I get it. I'm not huge of confrontation. But FIVE?!?! Make an overhead announcement that no dogs are allowed in the store and that misrepresenting one is a misdemeanor according to CA penal code 565.7. And if your employees aren't sure if you allow dogs or not - maybe just have them peek at the front door.

Simi Valley Home Goods is the place to go for all your custom or unique home decorations. I've been shopping there for several years and always find something unique and fun. Something to add to my home. The customer service is outstanding. The atmosphere is always pleasant and is a true personal joy to shop there. Especially this time of year during the holidays, I highly recommend you pay them a visit to see their holiday wares for sale. Great prices. Okay them a visit! No disappointments!

Update 12/2019: Once again my fave most Beautiful Home Goods around. Changed mgmnt? who cares. Clean, organized and LOTS of inventory at the best prices. Only wish i had a way to bring Cinderellas life sized carriage home to Washington state. 12/2018 Used to be my favorite. Last visit it was disorganized and dirty. Lots of inventory in aisles with no one cleaning or working on displays. Very sadly in the disarray I didn't even want to shop or bring anything home.

I couldn't believe the level of disrespect I encountered from the manager, Jodi today at Home Goods. I was purchasing a product that I needed for my sick mother and I noticed the product was damaged. I asked for further discount as the product was rather expensive. I was gently negotiating the price with her and she rudely says "well if it's so broken why do you even want it anyway" in the rudest, most condescending tone, with a little scoff and look toward her co-worker. I explained it is for my sick mother and I don't have time to shop around, so I took the product at a non-discounted price and left. Her level of disrespect was unheard and uncalled for. Jodi should not be a manager if she can't handle simple requests and should receive additional training on how to communicate effectively...

Today I went shopping for the first time at the home goods store after hearing about the awesome sales my friend told me about. It was a great experience from start to finish as soon as I walked in I was kindly greeted. The store looked very well organized and I found the perfect item at a very fair price, checking out was also an extraordinary experience, the cashier Mary was very kind and sweet. She even asked me how my day was going and made me feel like more than just another customer her out going personality made my first experience very pleasant and I will totally be back for more! Great prices, great service what more can...
