MAJIK Rent-To-Own — Attraction in Smithfield Township

My husband and I had ordered a couch, love seat, and 2 recliners for a "rent to own" thinking its save us from charging a credit card & we might get a deal. We didn't have the furniture longer than 3 months and it started falling apart! It was very cheaply made. We made weekly payments on the furniture and they would send me text reminders which was nice but, 10 to 15 minutes after getting a reminder they would call me and say "are you going to make a payment today?" My husband and I decided to go somewhere else for better quality furniture. We were paying over $200 a month at majik & we got our new furniture and we are paying about half of that & thats with a warrantee and added insurance. When I told majik we wanted to return their furniture they were very rude. The same day they picked up the furniture they called me saying I needed to pay for the following week. I told them I wasnt paying for it since the furniture was picked up & they said "oh we forgot" NEVER again. I would not recommend their furniture to anybody. I'm not sure about...

I wanted to adjust my rating. Same day as posting a 1 star review, I was contacted by Dan. Dan was very sincere and genuinely concerned for my parents experience and seemed very upset that they had a bad one. I relayed contact info for my dad and the issue was sorted out between them. My dad was very thankful and appreciative of the customer service. I would like to say thank you for your prompt response and professionalism in your interactions. My mom and dad are also extremely thankful! Nothing is perfect, but having someone work with you to totally change one’s perception completely, shows a person or goes way beyond what is expected. Stella and Larry just delivered my furniture and I can't say enough as to their level of professionalism and service. This was, easily, one of my best and smoothest transactions to date. I, highly, recommend this company to anyone in the Huntingdon, PA area. Stella is a pleasure to deal with as a salesperson and first point of contact.
