Original Italian Pizza Rt 22 — Restaurant in Smithfield Township

Worst service EVER! Went there today for a late lunch/early dinner. It was rather busy, so we expected to wait a bit. Server came by, took our order, brought our drinks. So far, so good. Then food was brought for 2 of the 3 of us. Server told us mine would be right out. I encouraged the other 2 to go ahead and start. After about 15 minutes, I summoned our server, and asked where my meal was. She said it was on the grill. It was just a cheeseburger and fries - nothing too fancy. A total of 20 minutes from the time the first 2 were brought out, until mine came. By this time, the other 2 were nearly done eating. No offer of drink refills, no apology for the delay in my meal. Common sense would seem to be that all 3 of us were to be served at the same time. The other 2 at my table got cold sandwiches - none of this made sense to me. This was the first time ever that I did not leave a tip. I could not justify any kind of tip for such poor service. Every time I'm in Huntingdon, I don't leave without ordering from OIP 22.

There aren't accurate enough words to describe the quality of the food, but I will say they make the best cheese steak I've ever had and the bread is a huge factor in that along with them using American cheese unlike so many Italian places around the state that don't even have American cheese.

Pizza is unparalleled.

Strombolis are transcendent.

Breaded mushrooms exquisite.

Cold subs (dressing on the side), pure delight.

Grilled chicken salad I dare you finish with the side of a loaf of bread.

And if you have not tried their ranch and dipped all of the above in it, you are denying yourself the most incredible dining experience you could ever wish for.

I’ll typically do not give reviews but after yesterday experience at OIP 22 was really bad. I took my family 5 of us. We ordered 4 marinated chicken salad and pasta and meatballs and Slice of pizza order of fries. The fries were very greasy and dark. Tasted like bad oil The salads were just as bad. The chicken was chewy kind had a burnt taste to it. The fries on top were cold and tasted like grease. We only ate maybe a third of each salad. The slice pizza came out after the salads it was cold was sitting a while before they brought it out. I ended up spending over 80 dollars on food we didn’t eat. It was that bad.
