I recently had friends say they went to the Studebaker Museum (which is on the houseā€™ property) and didnā€™t take the house tour. They didnā€™t think itā€™d be worth the time. Donā€™t make the same mistake they did. This is an outstanding house tour. I love architecture and touring old homes when I can. The Oliver family gave their well maintained, unmodernized home, along with all of its antique contents, to the historical society. Itā€™s a must see if youā€™re an architectural fan like me.

This is a beautiful historic mansion in South Bend that is lovingly kept up by the History Museum. The staff are always friendly, and volunteers give their time to share their love of local history with the patrons. I attend the Christmas events each season to see the amazing decorations. They offer guided tours, and it is a must-see if you are visiting the area!
