I must start by saying we ended up here by pure happenstance. We have been looking for a good diner experience and read reviews that led us to think this would be that type of place, but we were wrong. We were pleasantly surprised, though, as well. This is definitely NOT a diner and, in my personal opinion, is better defined as a BAR and GRILL. That being said, the food was awesome , a bit pricey, but worth it. The atmosphere does feel like it has a target crowd, and locals/regulars are definitely treated differently than a newcomer. When we first walked in, it took a few minutes before we were acknowledged and advised to sit anywhere we would like. About 4 minutes after we sat, we were finally greeted and provided menus. After that, everything just kept getting better. Our waitress was OUTSTANDING. She was polite, friendly, attentive, and refilled our drinks promptly. We had 2 double cheeseburgers and fries which was the daily special, 1- 10piece chicken wing meal with fries, 1 order onion rings, 1 order cheese fries, 1 order fried pickles, 4 drinks and 1 water and it was $74.32 not including the tip. All the food was seasoned perfectly, hot and fresh. The wings are some of the best we have had in a long time. We will be back for .99 cent wing Wednesday for sure. Thank you for making our family feel welcome!!

Linden Grill was recommended by friends as a place with one of the best burgers in town. It did not disappoint. The burger was well seasoned and the meat was cooked to perfection. I chose to get the single cheeseburger so I could also order a few of the chicken wings. The wings were deliciously seasoned as well. For future visits I could go for either or and be satisfied. Will probably do both again. Service was good. Friendly and provided consistent checks to make sure we were doing good. My one issue I had was with the poor, absolutely horrible, taste of the water. I have lemons in my water typically. Even with the lemons the water tasted extremely bad. I will not get water from there again unless it is bottled water. Other than that issue the experience was overall great. I recommend going to Linden Grill Downtown if you are in South Bend.

This is an awesome restaurant. The staff here is friendly and welcoming. And although it was a little loud in here, that was alright with me. I felt like I was home at a holiday dinner with all of my family laughing, joking, and having a great time. Miss Aniyah was wonderful and gave me the best recommendation. I had the pork chop dinner with a side of catfish and the Linden Tea. I highly recommend this place, and I can't wait to come back with my husband (came here for lunch from work). Thank you, Linden Grill for great food and a great experience.
