A Frenchie In the WorldA Frenchie In the World
Went for the Rejuvenate day package with an Aromatherapy massage, the Alchemy facial and a foot soak to finish. I had a great experience!!! Dawn had the right kind of pressure for me, Nicole had the fingers of an angel on my face and the receptionist was very sweet handling my foot soak. Let me tell you, the foot soak is the perfect thing to do last after treatments! It let's you relax and sink in all the goodness you just received and the lovely smell of the soak is so pleasant to the nose. I enjoyed a nice shower afterwards, and didn't not feel rushed out of there. The place is well decorated without being pretentious. All in all, a great afternoon at Alchemy! Definitely will be coming back to try their other services :)

My experience here was excellent. The service I had exceeded my expectations. I can be a tough critic when it comes to massage but Corrine's technique was really great. I had the detox service which included a full body dry brush and a one hour massage including special attention on the scalp, head and feet. The dry brush was amazing, felt so good to have someone do this on my whole body! And the massage was deeply relaxing. She got me into a very calm and tranquil state. I felt I could really relax and let go. The ambiance of alchemy is also very calming and inviting. It's a beautiful place to relax and unwind. I recommend giving them a visit and I know I'll return. Thank you for a great service!

Corinne K at Alchemy Mind and Body in Princeton is an absolute gem. Her technique is nothing short of amazing, leaving you feeling deeply relaxed and rejuvenated after every session. She has an intuitive sense for finding and addressing tension, and her skilled hands work wonders. From the moment you walk in, the calming atmosphere of Alchemy pairs perfectly with Corinne’s approach, making the entire experience a true escape from the everyday. If you’re looking for a massage therapist who combines technical skill with a soothing touch, Corinne is unmatched. Highly recommend!

I heard such amazing things about Alchemy Mind and Body, I couldn't wait to give it a try. I booked an hour garden pass with the covered hot tub followed by a 60 minute massage for myself and my boyfriend.

The general vibe of the spa was, in my opinion, only OK. The spa can definitely use a relaxation room so when you are in-between services and in a robe, you are not also in the waiting room with dressed patrons awaiting the start of their services or with other chatty patrons who were getting a foot soak. After relaxing in the hot tub and awaiting your massage, you are in a more quiet, zen state of mind. It would have been nice if there was a dimly lit, quieter place for you to wait.

Additionally, the women's and men's locker rooms were exactly that. Nothing special at all and certainly not spa-like. No special soaps or lotions or candles, not dimly lit with spa music piped in. It was a dungeon-basement-like, after-thought at best with a bathroom door that gets stuck shut and was very loud to open.

The hot tub was great, very relaxing, but it would have been brought to the next level had it had some comfortable chairs so when you are overheated in the hot tub, you have a private spot to relax and cool off. I know the space for the hot tubs is small, but at the planning stage, it would have been great to have built it a tad bit larger to accommodate a hammock, a hanging chair, an Adirondack chair... anything to sit in besides a small triangular wooden shelf would have been nice. Additionally, it would have also been nice if they offered drinks and light snacks or if they allowed you to bring in food and drinks into the garden area. They can of course have restrictions as to what might or might not be allowed, or no eating while in the hot tub, etc, but this would have been a very nice touch.

As for the massages, my boyfriend said his was great! He enjoys a deep tissue to help work out his sore muscles and kinks. He said his massage therapist must have been able to read minds because her fingers knew exactly where to go. If I could give her a separate rating, based on his review, she would have gotten a 5! I, on the other hand enjoy relaxation vs torture :) and only wanted a Swedish massage. It was a good massage but not the best I've ever had. I wound up leaving with more soreness than when I arrived. My massage therapist tried but the massage was only OK, if I am honest. I, personally, do not like a couples massage and had booked the massages to be separate. Nothing against togetherness but for me, I just relax better if I am not in the same room as my significant other. I find I start wondering if he is enjoying the massage or if I have to talk to my massage therapist, I worry I will disturb him. Even though, I booked separate massages, we were placed in a couples' room.

For these reasons, I can only give this spa a 3. With a little more attention to detail, it can easily be brought to the next level of relaxation but it is...

I brought my sister-in-laws to Alchemy for a belated Mother’s Day celebration since the three of us had babies this year and were overdue for a day of relaxation. My sister-in-law recently moved to the area, and this spa came recommended by a friend.

The space itself is quaint and aesthetically pleasing. Our services were good and the technicians were friendly. However, I was disappointed by the overall hospitality and lack of warmth that you typically expect from a day spa experience.

Upon arrival, no one inquired if this was our first time at the facility nor offered a tour, or even directed us to amenities. I’m aware that the use of the hot tubs and sauna are a separate fee, however I didn’t realize that access to the locker room/showers were restricted to purchase as well. We noticed other guests in robes, but we were never offered any nor shown the locker or shower areas. When we asked, the receptionist told us robes weren’t included unless you booked multiple services (despite each of our single services costing between $150 and $300) After a massage, being covered in oil, it seems reasonable to expect access to a robe and shower. Collectively, we have a lot of experiences at day spas ( such as Zanya and Joseph Anthony) and usually this is assumed to be included so I wish they would have mentioned that while booking. Unfortunately, it didn’t feel like much of a different experience than a Hand and Stone in my opinion.

Before leaving, we had to ask someone for a tour of the garden space, just to understand what else the facility offered. Even then, the interaction felt more like a quick walkthrough than a warm , thoughtful introduction encouraging guests to return.

Unfortunately, the vibe was more transactional and less like a relaxing retreat we were hoping for. While the services themselves were lovely, the lack of care in the overall experience left us somewhat...

Life often gets in the way of spending time with your BFF. We decided we needed a Spa Day to catch up. Our research found Alchemy Mind & Body. Housed in a 300 year old home, the grounds and spa are tastefully decorated and there is plenty of parking. We had an hour in the Garden, massages, Facials, and foot soaks. We also brought our own snacks to enjoy. We were shown to the locker which was sparkling clean and well stocked with amenities. Robes and towels were in the lockers and sandals were available. Then back upstairs and we were brought to the Garden. The Garden was surrounded by bamboo gently swaying in a light breeze, we were shown to our private soaking tub, there is also common area seating away from the tub and a sauna. Pretti, was my massage therapist and is very skilled and communicated what to expect and asked if the pressure was good a few times. It had been quite some time since I have had a facial and Mackenzi left me all aglow. She also was excellent at communicating what she was doing when and what to expect. The young ladies working the front desk and assisting us with our foot soaks were welcoming and instantly made you feel you were entering a relaxation zone. I just regret I did not get their names. Herbal Tea is served during the foot soak and was the perfect way to wrap up our day. I chose Royal Treatment a lavender and mint blend. I thought it summed up...
