My wife and I hit Coffee Dose a couple times a week, and every time we walk by The Market next door, we always say we need to check it out. We finally did, and it honestly surprised us. We expected maybe a sandwich bar and a couple things, but it turned out to be a full-on grocery setup with local goods, snacks, drinks, and even some tasting samples from OC brands. It had way more variety than we thought, and it was super clean and well laid out. We went mainly for the sandwiches, and I grabbed the Godfather which I heard was their top pick, and my wife got the Torpedo on sourdough with just turkey and green sprouts. She said it was solid but needed something extra, so she added some of the olive oil and vinegar they have in the store and that helped a lot. My Godfather though? I threw on some jalapenos and that thing was loaded with flavor. Every bite was packed and the bread was crunchy in all the right ways. Easily one of the better sandwiches I’ve had in the area. We also tried some seasoned local tortilla chips they had and those were legit too. The poke bar was a fun surprise. Full spread with ahi tuna and toppings and the quality held up even though it had been sitting out. I came back the following week just to try a bowl and was happy with it. This is one of those spots you can swing by on a lunch break or before heading to the beach and walk out with a great sandwich and a few local snacks. Super glad we finally...

FIRST TIME VISIT ! My wife has been wanting to check out this supermarket for a while now. On Sunday after enjoying a fabulous early morning breakfast at a fav spot in Newport Beach we popped in here on the way home. We parked our wheels out front around 9.15am. It's certainly much bigger on the inside than it looks from the parking lot. I guess you could say it's an old school style supermarket......huge range of name brands and many things we don't see at chain supermarkets. Prices in some categories were a little on the high side...more than Whole Foods Market. The beer section was a big disappointment....small range of everyday beers and no marked prices. They featured a huge wine section near the front entrance if that is your thing. My wife on the other hand loved some of the stuff on the shelves.....old school sweets she remembered from her childhood. THE DENTAL BILLS SAY NO ! I saw large Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice at a very competitive price. We ambled around the whole store for a few minutes. THEY HAVE A LOT OF STUFF ! My wife thought the cake section looked good...loves cake ! In the end they stocked enough of the things on our list that we decided to buy it all here instead of making another stop near home. We bought 1 x large Lactaid 2% reduced fat milk, Blue Lake beans, Organic Mango, Haagen-Dazs ice cream bars, Crab Cakes, Brussels Sprouts and a slice of Chocolate Raspberry Cake. Friendly service at...

My wife and I ordered a Morning Special that includes Pastry and coffee, we ordered only 1, and we shared it. When we reviewed the receipt in the car, we saw we got charged an extra coffee, so I went back to ask for a refund of $2.25 (Easy, no problem, mistakes happen). When I asked Wyatt (Cashier's name) for a refund, he responded: You took 2 coffees, didn't you? my answer was no, but then he asked a second time, Are you sure you didn't take a second coffee?................ My face turned to a surprised look, and he said: this is only a question. But he asked two times, and his tone of voice changed, confirming I had made a mistake or was stealing a coffee. Wyatt doesn't accept his mistakes and doesn't like his job. Wyatt didn't apologize for his mistake of charging an extra coffee, and he didn't apologize for guessing I was stealing or trying to get $2.25...

Excellent neighborhood grocery store with an abundant selection of groceries, deli offerings, baked goods, and house essentials. While this store isn't as large as your neighborhood Safeway/Whole Foods, this grocery store has a ton of unique food items that are made locally and cannot be found elsewhere. There is plenty of parking (although it can probably get full on the weekends). Prices are fair, but slightly higher - possibly due to the area and the fact that this isn't a big chain. They have produce, a meat and seafood department, groceries and home goods, beer and wine, and basically everything a larger chain may have. Overall, this is an excellent grocery store if you need to fill your home grocery needs, you're looking for something unique and different. or you're just looking to come for lunch or an easy dinner.

When avocado is missing from a BLTA, you can’t call it a BLTA. The prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. I work nearby and have been coming to this place off an on for the last several years. However I doubt I’ll be back for lunch. The sandwiches my team and I picked up today were really on the lower side of my expectations. My BLTA had no avocado, the California had much less meat than we have come to expect and had only one small chunk of avocado. The meatball that came with our order was pretty good, but seemed smaller than what we all remembered from just a few months ago. Hope things get better here.
