Not so easy to find, but it's worth it. Located upstairs in strip a light down from Newport Golf course on Irvine Blvd.
I had some slices and they were good;. I checked out the rest of the menu and it's a 'good variety' of sandwiches, pizza, burgers and more.
They have a good number of arcade games for the kids.
Love to of TVs. Good bar with regulars, but they are welcoming and friendly.
Now for the surprise, on the lower floor, they run a comedy and kareoke bar. Full Bar and you can order from the kitchen above.
I went one night and a surprising amount of mostly ok comics, some are there first time, most are running new material to see how it's received. The night I was there, the regulars at the bar were nice and the bartender was welcoming.
Only one small note of criticism, when I went into pick up my pizza, the lady taking my order and then giving me the to go was smileless and no thank you. Maybe it was a bad day. It did leave me with the memory and I'll see if this was a one off and update this post.
All in all 2 bars, good food, TV's, arcade and comedy and kareoke downstairs...why did I only find out about this place recently when I've lived here most of my life.
Lastly, prices are good and not through the...
Read moreSomewhere it was mentioned in a comment about this place the it was like Me-n-Eds pizza. That was the expectation I came in with. Well,...it is NOT like Me-N-Eds. It is no where near Me-N-Eds. I should have expected that when I drove up to a golf course.
With all that said, it is what you would expect for golf course food. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either.
I ordered pepperoni and it looked like cheese pizza when it was brought to me. The pepperoni was underneath the cheese. Not a bad thing. There was plenty of pepperoni so that part was cool.
Overall, it's ok pizza. Fine if you are golfing and want some pizza.
Kinda pricey but then again everything is kinda pricey now.
Would I come back again and order pizza?..... Not for pizza only. Maybe if I did some golfing here and split the cost of the pizza...
Read moreUpdate 6/16/25 3rd time in a row, thin and crunchy pizza. A far cry from the past. This is last time I am visiting Original Pizza. Not as bad as last time, but when you eat your pizza, neighbors from other tables should not look at you because all of the loud crunching.
Previous review... Normally a 4 out of 5, but this last time the crust was paper thin. I requested if possible to make thicker than normal.
I also forgot to mention to place the pepperoni on top (I don't like pepperoni, so I remove them). Since under the cheese, I had to dig them out. We ended up throwing some of the pizza away.
No one else in my party was happy with the hand tossed crust, too thin for everyone.
Note on placing peperonis below the cheese, they are not cooked well. Everyone mentioned, that the pepperonis...
