Unprofessional and insulting!

My partner and I are on a budget for our wedding, and we were upfront about our financial constraints. Instead of understanding, this florist made us feel small and insignificant. Comments like "I guess flowers just aren't important to you" and "you get what you pay for" were not only hurtful but also incredibly unprofessional. Then to tell us "well you have a whole year to pay it" was laughable. We have spoken with several florists that that do work that is at least as good but not severely overpriced. It seemed as though the florist was more interested in up-selling than helping us find a solution that fit our budget.

Her attitude made us feel like our wedding would be less special because we couldn't afford lavish floral arrangements. We ended the call feeling insulted rather than excited about our big day. Wedding planning is stressful enough without the added pressure of vendors making you feel inadequate over budget limitations.

I would not recommend this florist to anyone who is looking for a supportive and respectful service. A wedding is supposed to be about celebration and joy, not about being made to feel inferior for how much you can or cannot spend.

Edit: In response to the owner's reply, no itemized list was given but that was not the issue and it is irrelevant to the problem. We were told we would need to go with a higher budget and made to feel like what was possible for us was not good enough for the florist. I don't appreciate the attempt to discredit my complaint and I'm seeing this kind of response is consistent across the other negative reviews.

My sister recently had a milestone birthday, but suffered a loss shortly beforehand. It was important to her that forget-me-nots be included in a bouquet tied to this but they’re pretty scarce in most flower shops. Edith really tried to find a source so we could incorporate some into the Serenity bouquet. When that didn’t work out she was open to using some I provided from another store alongside her own flowers.

The forget-me-nots didn’t reach me in good condition, but the sentimental value was huge so anything was better than nothing. Edith treated those flowers as best she could, wove them into the existing design beautifully, and was both communicative and understanding throughout.

It was my first time buying flowers. The order was complicated, but with incredibly meaningful results. Would 100% recommend Garden of Edith and plan to return...
