Look for my food city review . When the water goes on sale I like to shop then. And they have good fresh meat. The sushi here is great because they have a real sushi chef . I do miss the one before him, but the new one is just as good. You must watch out for the exp dates . I would pay close attention and find things out of date and molded . Just remove it from the shelf and give it to one of the managers. I have found hair off of a meat slicer package in the meat . So please wash your meat before cooking . It is a mom and pops store they do try. We went for years without a grocery store in our town. Then they came along, and the prices were outrageous and still is. They are true price gaulgers, which I find very ironic because they are Christian owners, so I'm not sure if they are trying to keep up with Jonese . But they need to skim back just a little, or they will put their on shelves out of business . They had something good going with the pick 5. Now, it's a lol shame what they have done with it. Food City has a pick 5 once a month, and if you get 2 their only $14 . Originally tho at Food City all day, their pick 5 is19.99 . And foodLand is $24.and something every day. I'm very meticulous when it comes to purchasing my grocery. The managers would follow me around every time I walked in the store . Now they know my face and hate to see me coming because they realize I'm o.c.d, and I'm going to zone myself and remove out of date items and examine everything with a fine tooth comb. If I have to pay the price, I deserve the best. I'm speaking for a lot of the residents of South Pittsburgh. But they do try. It's get in and out as fast as I can by going there, and it's only out...

Read moreI don't like giving 1 star but there are several reasons why I chose to do this. The biggest issue is the high prices, they charge Publix prices for Dollar Store quality, in a poverty stricken town. They try to make up for this with weekly deals. Which brings me to my next reason why I gave 1 star. They advertised $19.99 10pc chx fingers with wedges, I got there just before 5pm (dinner time) to buy dinner for my family and they had already closed the fryer and the girl said they close at 6pm and wouldn't make any more chx fingers. Lastly, there have been several times I've bought shelf food and got home to see it is expired. I will rather go to Walmart than spend my money here again. The employees are nice and welcoming and the store is clean, but...
