Spring Lake Park — Attraction in South Plainfield

Nice peaceful place for an evening walk or a run. The walking path is well maintained and is built around the lake. They have basketball and tennis courts and a kids' play area as well. There are restrooms near the kids' play area. The views of the lake from the walking bridges are beautiful. You will see a lot of fish, tortoise, ducks, frogs, and small insects in the lake. I saw people fishing in the lake, but it is written that fish from the lake should not be consumed. Some sections of the lake need maintenance and cleaning. I saw soda cans and litter in some areas. A beautiful peaceful park with lovely flat wandering paths and bridges over creeks and streams surrounding a lake with two fountains and a larger gazebo. a popular place for pictures for weddings quinceaneras and other celebrations. A large basketball court is towards the back as are other athletic facilities. there are several families of ducks and geese but they are not dirty nor are they aggressive in any shape, way or form.
