We just had one of the best dining experiences at Moksha Eats in South Plainfield! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. The restaurant has a cozy, modern vibe — perfect for family dinners or a night out.
Every single dish we ordered was bursting with authentic flavor and beautifully presented. The samosas were perfectly crisp with flavorful filling, and the momos were hands-down some of the best we’ve had — tender, juicy, and paired with delicious dipping sauces. The biryani was perfectly spiced and aromatic, and the thali plate offered a wonderful variety of tastes — rice, lentils, vegetables, curry, and even a sweet treat to end the meal.
The portions were generous, the food came out fresh and hot, and everything tasted homemade with love. Even our kids absolutely loved it — they couldn’t stop raving about the butter chicken and gulab jamun!
It’s so nice to find a place that brings the heart of Indian and Nepalese cuisine together with such authenticity and care. You can really tell the staff takes pride in what they do.

Read moreWe had an absolutely wonderful dining experience at Moksha Eats! The food was incredibly flavorful, fresh, and satisfying from start to finish.
We started with the Chicken Chilli Momos, and they completely blew us away. The momos were perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, tossed in a delicious, spicy-tangy sauce with sautéed onions and bell peppers. Easily one of the best versions of chilli momos we've had — packed with flavor in every bite!
Next, we ordered the Chicken Thali, which was beautifully presented and a great value. It included two kinds of vegetable sides (a spiced potato curry and sautéed greens), hearty dal (lentils), a rich and flavorful chicken curry, basmati rice, crispy papad, tangy pickles, and a sweet Gulab Jamun served with cool curd. Every item on the thali was well-seasoned and balanced — it offered a perfect variety of tastes and textures.
We also tried a separate Nepali-style Chicken Curry paired with hot, buttery naan. The curry was deeply aromatic and perfectly spiced — the kind of dish that makes you want to scoop up every drop with the naan.
Overall, Moksha Eats is a gem for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Nepali and South Asian cuisine. We left full and very happy — can’t wait...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this hidden gem, a Nepalese restaurant that delivers both exceptional food and warm hospitality. From the moment we walked in, the cozy ambiance and subtle Nepalese decor transported us straight to the Himalayas.
The momo (steamed dumplings) were an absolute highlight — delicate wrappers filled with perfectly seasoned meat or vegetables, paired with a spicy tomato chutney that packed a punch. The chicken chowmein was the best with tender chicken meat and vegetables bursting with authentic flavor (highly recommended). We also tried the Samay Baji, a traditional platter that showcased Nepalese cuisine at its finest, with fragrant flat rice, chicken choila, tangy pickles, alu ko aarchar and bara.
The service was friendly and attentive, with staff eager to share recommendations and explain the dishes. The food not only felt authentic but also showcased the perfect balance of spices Nepalese cuisine is known for.
Whether you're new to Nepalese food or a long-time fan, this restaurant will leave you wanting to come back for more. Highly recommended for an...
