Inconvenient place to shop at if you don't drive. I only shop here occasionally when I need some ingredients to cook Mexican dishes. The shop is decently stocked, but not very clean. There are usually flies hovering inside the store. The vegetables and fruits don't seem to be that fresh.
During my most recent visit, the store wasn't crowded. The female cashier was happily chatting with another staff. When a teenager went up to pay, the cashier's cheerful attitude immediately changed--not even a friendly greeting. I wondered if it was because the young customer was just buying a lemon, or because she looked Asian, or because of her age. Or maybe the cashier didn't like that her chatting was interrupted?
