Henry the Hatter — Attraction in Southfield

I came to this place on my birthday on May 06 2022. I called and inquired about stretching two with the manager Joe. He replied that those services were free and encouraged me to make a purchase. Which wasn't a problem they did not have the hats I wanted in my size.. But when I arrived the attendees seemed irritated and aloofed. After the service the attendee proceeded to charge me $25.00!!! I informed him that these services were free per Joe. He then reduced the charges to $18.75 for four stretching and one hat cleaning!! I then ask for a receipt but was told that no receipt was giving for those services?? I demanded a receipt and he complied hesitantly. Still the receipt did not match the total cost for the service. I went to purchase a hat using a gift certificate and the whole experience was unpleasant. It just seemed as if the salesperson working didn’t know how to help me find a hat. I asked her to measure my head make sure I was buying the right size and she couldn’t measure me nor could she help me narrow down my options. Then they didn’t know how to redeem my gift certificate in the store. So overall, this may be the premier hat store locally but the customer service is lacking in my opinion. I've purchased several hats at the southfield store. My last purchase was overpriced plus tax and $19 shipping. I attempted to make another purchase but the gentleman clerk was unable to get my name right after several tries so I gave up.
