Goodwill Southington Store and Donation Center — Attraction in Southington

Be careful of what you purchase here. I bought an item the price tag sticker was on a delicate surface when I peel the sticker off after I got home the paint from the item chipped off with it the item was now useless to me. Four days later I go to the store with receipt and ask to exchange for another item or store credit and was denied because they are not excepting returns due to Covid but they will gladly except my item as a donation with no issue. At the time of purchase I also bought a VCR DVD player And was told by the cashier that I had 24 hours to return electronics if they did not work. So one employee on Friday tells me that returns are allowed four days later the cashier plus assistant manager are denying my return because they are registers supposedly do not process returns at this time.I spend a lot of money every year at Goodwill and constantly donate the item only cost me four dollars But it open my eyes and showed me that goodwill especially the one in Southington does not care about customers nor customer service, I think I prefer to give my business to savers or Salvation Army from...

I thought goodwill was a store that sells inexpensive things due to the fact that every single item is donated and also, to help the community, help the ones that can't buy new things due to financial situation. Very wrong with this store in Southington. I went there to buy things that my family is in need and a simple plastic cups, plates, mugs, etc.... that you buy at a Dollar store for $1 (sometimes 2 for$1) they were asking $2 each, so many items overpriced! I'm incredibly disappointed 😞. My daughter and I were here from out of state, online it says they were open until 9-PM, on the door it said they were open until 9PM. There were 3 employees talking and fooling around at the register when we walked in the door, they said nothing. We started looking at things and the young man got in the intercom and said it was 8:10 PM and they were closed. I go to the store every time I come to Connecticut. I will not anymore.
