Apparently there is a 28 day policy NOT POSTED IN THE LOBBY(unlike days inn who have it right in the main sign on the front desk) which they will randomly enforce depending on how they feel seeing as there are a few ppl staying there since 2018. They forced me my partner n an our 4 y.o out after we kept our rooms clean, paid 1,500 at cuz at that point we had been there since March started and it was well over 30days. The rude manager Brandy Fragozzino was the one who brougjt this stress into our lives and then called the cops because my partner and I were literally fighting to figure out where to go and what go do. Because of this HORRIBLE customer service i had to give up my cats and ended up having other personal difficulties including having to quit our new jobs since we will not be able to get to them. We had one week left that wee planned on being in the state but they didn't care that we had no car or a lot of money even to get somewhere else. And they gave us less than an hour to pack up.
Don't stay here. The stairs are broken. It's right by the highway so noisy. The management sucks and cares more about policy than apparently getting money. Theres carpenter bees invading the roof. They only serve coffee there is no breakfast. If you want a fridge good luck it costs 3.44 a day and they only have a limited amount. Oh and the staff namely brandy and Shirley and Dave will STARE AT YOU if your room is across from the welcome center and watch your every coming an going . brandy may even take it upon herself to QUESTION your comings and goings because thats what she deems is her right I guess. Also overheard Shirley say to save "yea her daughter wants to be one of those transgender people she wants to bea boy" and then Dave pretended to fake punch a person. REALLY not a cool conversation to have to witness. So yea probs not T friendly place either given that conversation.
Oh and Brandy even suggested that to follow their policy i should risk breaking another hotels policy specifically Days Inn and said we should just sneak our EMS cats in. Real professional. They COULD have just waved the entire policy and let us finish our full stay which was not going to be past April 30th coulda kept their five star review i had previously wanted to leave because CRYSTAL YOURE THE ONLY GOOD THING THERE. BUT apparently we were just so horrible being quiet in our rooms and sweeping our own floor so housekeeping could have a break. Absolutely atrocious. The company already has a bad name with that lawsuit apparently they want to make...
Read moreSpent about 45 days at the motel 6. Awful experience all around. Found a dead guest up front by the office who was dead for hours prior to our dog stumbling upon her room. Called 911 and was asked to leave the following day for “drawing police attention” to the property. Clerk told us while we waited for EMT’s that they were “throwing the people in that room out anyway”. Absolutely disgusting. Had her family clean it out to be rented again by check out. Did not properly clean the blood and fluids and proceeded to rent the room out again. Treated them like absolute trash. It was a horrible thing to watch. On top of that, this place is dirty. Never once in the 45 days spent here did house keeping stop by to clean the room. Toilets don’t flush, there are so many rooms with guests unable to use their bathrooms. The only good staff member is their maintenance man who should run for the hills and get far away from these people. This place is dog friendly which is what drew us here in the first place. Guests do not leash their dogs. These guests are long term and have been here for years therefor have a sense of entitlement. On more than a few occasions in my 45 days was my dog approached by an unleashed dog and the owner has no recall to prevent a bad situation. I stopped walking my dog during the day and only late at night to avoid any potential risk of losing my dog for biting one of these animals. The majority of the guests are long term and the management singles people out they feel like bullying. In my 45 days there I watched them harass multiple long term guests over hanging out with each other, giving one another rides to work, dropping off food to guests etc. & it was not long before they singled my wife and I out to begin bullying. We paid every day without an issue. We were quiet. We made a few long term guest friends, cooked dinner, played Xbox and minded our own. Yet we were treated as though we were the cause of Motel 6’s issues. Police are present regularly. Guests are getting high while their kids are playing on the balcony. Dcf knocking on doors- but none of these guests were reprimanded or asked to leave. Mike, the horrible manager, pick and chose who to bully. The Days Inn is owned by the same family down the street- I would just avoid hotels in Southington all together. These people are disgusting, horrible customer service, money hungry. Room 109 is the room they rented out with fresh blood on the floor from their...
Read moreI understand that this is a no frill motel and that is what I expected. Have stayed in many simple places. However, I do expect to get what I paid for and decent service. That was not the situation here.
Never Stay at This Motel 6
If I could give it a negative rating or 0 I would.
We booked via Expedia for a 6 night stay. Modern Room, 2 full beds, Refrig and Microwave. Non Smoking. Simple enough request.
Upon check in Manager on Duty informed us that the building that rooms had refrig and Microwave had a hot water boiler malfunction and those rooms had no hot water. She thought it might be 2 days before it was repaired. Options: Take a room with no hot water (yeah right) or go to a room without Refrig and Microwave. They were non smoking. We could move when the boiler was fixed. Check back with her in 2 days. We chose the latter. When we asked for an adjustment since we were not getting the room we booked, she stated she could not since we booked with Expedia. Ridiculous, I have owned and managed rental properties to know you keep the customer happy.
If only gets worse from here. The non smoking room smelled like an ash tray. When we went back to report this, she was less than sympathetic. We can not control what customers do. Other rooms were the same. I personally on 2 occasions saw customers going in and out of rooms smoking and housekeeping did nothing to report these people. We would have left except our room was paid in full thru Expedia and no refund was possible.
Also, our bed the next day did not get made.
When we checked after 2 days to see if we could move, the problem was not fixed. When I reported our room was not attended to she sent housekeeping to take care of that problem.
The next day our room was still not attended to. There policy is “make beds every day, linen every 3 day. When I caught housekeeping and asked to have our beds made, she replied I was just there yesterday. I reminded her beds where made daily, she said no, I showed her the instruction card and she said fine I'll come make your beds.
We were here because our motor home was being repaired and we had no where to stay. I will make sure I never stay here again and will make sure on the RV forums NOT to recommend this place to...
