Stayed in rm 222 Sat Aug 9th to 10th. 1. Unsecured and Dangerous Doors: Our emergency exit door in the hotel was left unlocked rigged open by drunks, posing a significant security risk to all guests. This was alarming and unacceptable for any hospitality establishment. 2. Lack of Response from Hotel Staff: When I brought the unlocked doors and our safety concerns to the attention of the front desk, he said “sometimes they do that”. I expected management to take guest safety seriously — unfortunately, that was not the case. It seemed to be normal to the employee. 3. Severe Nighttime Disturbances: Throughout the night, loud and visibly intoxicated individuals were yelling, cursing, and breaking glass bottles just outside the hotel. This went on for hours and made it nearly impossible to sleep. Doors slammed all night. The situation was both distressing and felt dangerous. 4. Unsafe and Filthy Parking Lot: The next morning, the parking lot was strewn with broken bottles and garbage from the night before. I took it upon myself to report this mess to the staff. 5. UNABLE TO WORK: The guest printer was out of service which then complicated both day and night. 6. NOT TAKING RESPONSIBILITY: Management still had not called me from the Holiday Inn Express Southington to discuss the problems. They deflect these serious complaint to Hotels.com which is ludicrous because they do not work at the hotel. We have requested a response from management regarding this complaint, along with information on what actions will be taken to address these serious concerns. We now put out this warning to others and hope for a reply. Oh and some of the the photos depict the nasty mildewed bathroom.

Traveling on our motorcycle throughout Northeast and New England and found this hotel with good reviews. Something you’d expect from Holiday Inn. Our room was nice, comfortable. The breakfast, a standard deliciousness from Holiday Inn. But the layout was confusing as they are on a hillside, so the floors to access the parking lot, where our motorcycle was, is confusing since the front of the hotel is on a different level. The ice machine was not working on our floor, even though they said 1st and 3rd floors have ice machines (we were on 3rd floor). No sign to say where else to get ice. We had to ride a couple miles to get to a local restaurant that I wanted to eat at, and that was open. Great place, they were having their Apple Festival. Lot’s of stores and chain restaurants nearby. Conveniently off the highway and a nice stay, they even have a patio and grill area out back!

***Do not stay here*** Someone reviewed SIX days ago about employees breaking into vehicles. I stayed there last night and my truck window was shattered and cash was stolen. When I asked to see the footage, they said they didn’t see anyone in the parking lot all night. I was parked right in front of the hotel. They even showed me a small clip of my truck being visible so there’s no way it’s not on camera. So I go to get my window fixed this morning… and the guy next to me also stayed at this hotel last night and had his window smashed and stuff stolen from vehicle! How incredibly suspect that TWO vehicles were broken into, cameras were working … but they didn’t see anyone breaking into either vehicle?? And didn’t mention that another vehicle was broken into? Don’t stay here unless you can afford a new window and to lose your valuables.

A Hidden Gem: Our Delightful Stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Southington, CT.

Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the city, the hotel proved to be a delightful surprise during our recent getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality from the staff, setting the tone for a truly memorable stay.

The first thing that caught our attention was the impressive breakfast buffet offered daily. From fluffy pancakes to crispy bacon, there was something to satisfy every craving. The variety was exceptional, with options ranging from hearty eggs and sausage to delectable cinnamon rolls and fresh fruit. We found ourselves eagerly anticipating breakfast each morning, knowing that a delicious spread awaited us.

One of the highlights of our stay was the 24/7 access to coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. Whether we needed a caffeine boost to start our day or a soothing cup of tea before bed, the convenience of having these beverages available at any hour was a thoughtful touch that truly enhanced our experience.

Another aspect that stood out was the flexibility of the housekeeping schedule. The staff at the Holiday Inn Express in Southington were more than willing to accommodate our needs and worked around our schedule to ensure that our room was always tidy and inviting.

But perhaps what impressed us the most was the genuine care and attention to detail provided by the entire team. From the front desk staff to the housekeepers, everyone went above and beyond to ensure that we felt welcome and well taken care of throughout our stay.

In conclusion, our experience at the Holiday Inn Express in Southington far exceeded our expectations. From the wonderful breakfast buffet to the attentive staff, every aspect of our stay was nothing short of exceptional. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with top-notch service, look no further than the Holiday Inn Express in Southington. We can't wait to return! Highly...

Our stay was fine until the TV, and attached wood panel, fell off the wall onto my daughter in law and hit her on the upper back. No one had been touching the TV. Two people were sitting on the couch and my DIL was standing between the couch and TV. Luckily, my son saw the TV coming at her and tried to catch it, otherwise the injuries could have been worse. She was a bit banged up and shaken up, which hampered her enjoyment at the wedding we were attending.||The staff had a blame the victim mentality. They were dismissive. When they did not seem to understand the gravity of what could have happened if a child or elderly person had been under the TV. They did not show any sense of caring except the obligatory CYA offer of medical help. Krupa, the General Manager, also expressed judgement to me that my DIL decided to go to the wedding instead of getting immediate medical attention. ||When I stated that three screws at the top of the panel was not adequate to secure this item, Krupa told me that the screws were screwed into a cement wall, so were therefore safe. This was not true. The wall was made of drywall. ||I contacted the corporate office to complain about the staffs handling of this incident and also warn of a potential hazard in each of the rooms at the Southington Hotel. Customer Care Rep, Anna told me that she was escalating the matter and that a representative would be in touch in 48 hours. It has been 12 days, so I called the corporate office again. I was left on hold for 19 minutes and told that Arjut (?, not sure of proper spellng) from the Southington Hotel would call me tomorrow. That does not track with what Anna told me would happen and I doubt I will hear from anyone at this point. The risk is lost on them.||So please be careful if staying at this hotel. The staff and Holiday Inn Express Corporate does not seem concerned about your safety, but I would hate to have...
