We love Avista Stadium and Spokane Indians Baseball! We have been to a lot of games this season and I feel the need to write a review because Avista Stadium and its staff are really remarkable. From the parking support staff to the front gate and all through the stadium concessions, section hosts, information booth, and overseeing staff - they always stand out. The welcoming, friendly and helpful staff - really, really are remarkable. With that said, there is one staff member that stands out above all of the rest and that is Keith, a section host. His first welcome to us was stand out. Then he started recognizing us as we arrived and he truly is remarkable in welcoming guests to the stadium and facilitating a great experience from arrival to departure. Keith - home team side - is our absolute favorite host and staff member!
While we really love Spokane Indians Baseball and it is something we enjoy as a family, if the staff at Avista Stadium was not as amazing as they are at running a great stadium and making it a place that you want to keep going, we would not go to as many games as we do. For that, Avista Stadium staff - I want to say thank you so much for what you do. You make going to Spokane Indians Baseball games GREAT!
I am going to name a few staff that stand out enough that I know their names: Keith - section host - home side tunnel - and Take Me Out to the Ball Game leader. Maggie - no description needed - host Information Booth gal - I am so sorry that I can not remember your name right now but you are always there and helpful and welcoming and friendly. Jeremy - Concessions - I think he moves all around - he is great Michael - Older gentleman - Concessions Will - 3rd base mini concession stand - he is great Melanie - Section host - sweet and friendly Women's Restroom host - she is sweet and keeps the restrooms in great shape. Emily - she is clearly multi-talented, constantly on the go, taking care of business. I have thought - it is almost like she has a twin or triplets here because she is all over taking care of business. Gate Staff - it is only because of the nature of the gate experience of getting through quickly that I don't know their names but I recognize them and they are always great.
~ After I hit send, I am sure I am going to think of more staff members that are remarkable and worthy of recognition but really, they all are. We have not had anything but great experiences with the staff. ~ OH! The mascots! We love the mascots! Otto is our favorite! Well, that might be argued amongst our family because Ribby is a favorite too. We love Doris too!
With all of that said - we have no complaints but do have requests for improvements over time: Better cameras for watching the game from home when we can't be at the stadium Add to the game from home experience with players and staff interviews and engagement like a certain competing team and stadium does. maybe not an Avista Stadium request? perhaps MILB or Spokane Indians??
As the 2024 Spokane Indians season is soon to end, Thank You Avista Stadium for providing great experiences! We are already looking forward to next year! ~ The...
Read moreWe spent the evening in the Coors Light Caboose courtesy of the Wounded Warrior Project. As in past years the employees have 5 Star attitudes, they are all very friendly and helpful for our particular needs. One Section Leader I want to point out above the rest is Doug. Doug has been in the Caboose each year my wife and I have gone to the game on 4th July. He is a great cheerleader, a great attitude, and I dont think he has an unfriendly bone in his body. The burgers, chicken and dogs on the buffet are good food for the game, nothing fancy, but it's good food. Then theres the Ice Cream Sandwiches, there is always plenty to go around. This year has been the coolest of the last 5 years we have attended so the ice cream didn't melt immediately which was a plus.
As for the employees in the rest of the stadium, the ones we came into contact with were all very friendly and helpful with cheerful smiles.
The only reason for only a 4 star rating is the amount of seating in the Caboose area. For large groups like we have it gets a bit crowded. I know theres not much that can be done about that, but...
Read moreFirst let me start by saying I'm not from Spokane, I'm visiting from Maryland. I'm comparing this to other minor league stadiums I'm my area.
This place is great. This is a well put together stadium with good sightlines of the mountains and the railyard to remind you of the industrial history of the town.
Fan interaction was fantastic and the baseball being played was something that could inspire these kids to get into or continue playing the sport. The team got hot in the 7th and 8th inning after a horrible 1st inning. Held out for a W. Incredible stuff. Hope the Rockies sends a few of these guys to Double A.
My only complaint was concession wait times. I arrived before the anthem and wasn't in my seat until the 3rd inning waiting on food. They gave a lot of refunds for disgruntled patrons. Not a good look, but hopefully they learn from this and prepare better...
