I recently had the pleasure of dining at Arabian Palace, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! As someone who is Middle Eastern, I can confidently say that the flavors here are incredibly authentic and took me right back to my roots. Their shawarma is hands down the best I’ve ever had perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The rice was a standout as well, with the addition of raisins adding a unique, delicious twist I’ve never experienced before. Every bite was bursting with flavor and warmth, reminding me of the meals I grew up with. They also have a yogurt drink that my parents grew up with, it’s such a nostalgic touch and really shows their dedication to authenticity. My dad was so excited to hear about it, and I’m looking forward to bringing him soon to share this experience. To top it all off, their house made baklava is a must try. It’s perfectly sweet, flaky, and absolutely mouthwatering one bite, and you’ll be hooked. What’s even more inspiring is the story behind this place. The owners have only been in America for about ten years and have built this incredible restaurant from the ground up, overcoming challenges! Their hard work and dedication truly shine through in the food and the atmosphere. If you’re looking for an authentic taste of the Middle East, Arabian Palace is the place to go. I’d give it a 10000/10 and highly recommend...
Read moreI really wanted to love this place, but so far, it has been very hit and miss. First visit was amazing and I had some of the best food I've ever had. Second trip was such that had that been my first experience, I would not be back.
Chicken ouzi was full of flavor first visit, but the version I received on my second visit was dry, with the only flavor being salt. Same with the rice - all salt, but there was also a burnt element in it. Dolmas were awesome the first time, but on the second visit, I bit into one that had hard, dry rice on one end. I suspect that they're being prepared in advance and left in a fridge to dry out. Would've mentioned it but literally no one, either time, came by to check on how things are.
As for service, as sweet as the folks here are, it feels more like being in someone's home, with all the disorganization that presents, instead of a restaurant. The disorganization's also led to what I would consider to be unsafe food practices (e.g., that whole sheet tray of desserts left out in the open, uncovered for the hour I saw it, on a counter where people walk back and forth to the bathroom). Thirty minutes acknowledge that I still hadn't received my tea followed by another fifteen minute wait to get it is frankly...
Read moreArabian Palace catered our wedding and did an AMAZING job! From the start, they met with us to discuss what we were hoping for and our budget, as well as any dietary restrictions. Maher and the rest of the staff were so kind, thoughtful, communicative, and honest with us. They were also extremely flexible in terms of timing and set up for the event.
The food: INCREDIBLE. We had their chicken ouzi, falafel, fattoush salad, pita with hummus and baba ganoush, and the knafeh for dessert. All were so so so much better than the other caterer’s food we had tried. So many people at our wedding were impressed with the food, went back for seconds or thirds, and commented on how tasty it was multiple times. We had 80 people at our wedding but there was easily enough food for 100+.
This is a family-run business started by refugees from Syria who have worked to be able to start their own restaurant in Spokane. We couldn’t be happier to support them as they start their business, and encourage people to try their food! You won’t be...
