I usually do not leave reviews- But this place definitely left a sour taste in my mouth and will never buy anything again at Freds Appliance. This was my second time buying from Freds Appliance as my first time a few years back I had a decent experience with buying a new model LG Washer and Dryer from them even went as far as buying the extended 5 year warranty on that. So far no problems.... With owning a house comes upgrading your appliances... Next my old dishwasher decided to crap out... So I could of bought a new dishwasher anywhere... Instead I chose to go to Freds Appliance because why.. I had such great experience the first time around... Well I had in there and was greeted immediately by an employee told him what we were looking for... What we came in for was a newer top of the line black stainless steel Dishwasher to match our other appliances we had in our house... They did not have one in store.. and was told they had a Brand new Kitchen aid for 9 something at the there valley location store. Brand new just out of the box.. which of course caught my attention... After tax I paid over 1000.00 dollars... I mean I wanted something durable and that would last awhile. So I show up at the valley location to pick up this dishwasher... For starters.. It was like a dark grey color .... not even black... had a few white scuff marks on it and a giant dent in the door opening up... I thought to myself im gonna give them the benefit of the doubt it is a ding and dent store.. I take it home my husband is not happy at all... It was leaking water, still had some sort of detergent in it and the bottom of the feet were plastic and chipped off...It didnt even come with a manual... I really had to think ok.. I just blew over a thousand dollars and this is really not what i want... So i call them back and tell them I dont want this and I would like a refund... So the sales guys that helped me out before hand apologizes profusely and states that from his understanding it was new. He starts looking up different models and tells me he can get a Bosch 500 dishwasher originally priced at 1249.00 ... I tell him at this point I am not looking at spending any more money then I just spent.... Hes like oh no you wont I will talk to my boss and see what he can do... Well what his "boss" can do is only take 100.00 off because I guess with Bosch they cant take any money off the original price so thats the best he can do.... So I make the mistake of thinking thats an ok deal.... I get home only to find out that we need a freaking junction box for the dishwasher??? That was not explained AT ALL. Had to find that out through Google! I guess the Bosch line is the only dishwasher that you have to have that for.... Good to know. As I make my way to Lowes to purchase this "Junction box" I find out Lowes has the same Bosch dishwasher priced at guess what... $1149.00... Ha it wasnt even a good deal.. I wasnt "saving " 100.00 His boss just price matched what Lowes had... Ugh It was just one huge cluster after another... I will definitely not...
Read moreHORRIBLE customer service. I Have had nothing but trouble so far with getting our washing machine fixed. Had a service member do an evaluation over a month ago, and parts were required to fix it and were ordered. A few weeks go by, and I had not heard from them. I started making calls to figure out what was going on and the response was âbecause of covid, the parts are taking longer than expected.â Ok, understandable. I waited more. Another few weeks go by and now Iâm irritated. Every time I called, I was told I would be contacted for an ETA on my parts arrival by the parts department. I called half a dozen times and was never called back. I finally called today and expressed serious frustration and disappointment in the customer service and communication. We have a newborn and canât do any laundry without loading her up and I had surgery which makes that impossible. I was finally told it could take ANOTHER month to get parts in. All of this would have been understandable and wasnât necessarily their fault. The issue is that the customer service has been atrocious. We havenât been kept in the loop, nobody has called us back regardless of the amount of times we were told they would, and we werenât contacted with any sort of delay. This has made life seriously difficult with having a brand new baby. The service department individuals performing the work and inspections were very kind and helpful, but the store itself has some major issues....
Read moreLast Friday, 4/7, I frantically drove all over Spokane looking for a dryer that I could buy and take home that day. My daughter and I started off in Spokane Valley. After trying Lowes, Homedepot, Best Buy and the less then desirable Fred's Appliances design center, and coming up empty handed, we thought one last try at the Fred's Ding and dent center on Division. As soon as I walked in, De'Quon greeted me and offered his assistance. After explaining my frustration and need to have a dryer ASAP, he went right to work looking at in store items. They did not have the black stainless steel in any Samsung dryer or LG. He then started explaining to the other sales associate Toby, what I was after. Toby went straight to the computer. While Toby was one the computer looking at whearhouse inventory, De'Quon was looking at the specs from my old dryer to make sure I was getting a similar model with options that I had prior and running price comparisons with Homedepot and Lowes. The two of them found me a brand new Samsung dryer that was in stock in the wearhouse in Airway Heights that we were able to pick up Saturday morning! They were both AMAZING! Thank you De'Quon and Toby for taking the time to listen and understand my needs. You are both a great asset to Fred's customer service....
