The Spa at Spring Ridge — Attraction in Spring Township

I had two very unprofessional experiences at this spa. I was receiving scar reduction laser therapy and was driving 40 minutes to do so. The staff were aware of this. I show up for my appointment in February as scheduled only to find out my therapy cannot be completed because the laser that is used has not been working all day. The receptionist stated to me that she "tried to call," but I had no unknown numbers on my cell phone's call log and no voice mails from the spa. I'd successfully received other voice mails and phone calls that day, up to ten minutes prior to the appointment time. I know they have my correct phone number in their system because they send me text reminders of my appointment times and I'd received one for that day. I rescheduled my appointment for almost two full months later, and lo and behold, the same thing happens! I arrive and "all of a sudden" the laser is not functioning properly. I drove, once again, 40 minutes for nothing. The receptionist tells me we'll have to reschedule, and throws in a half-baked "sorry." I will not be rescheduling as this is the second time in a row that this has occurred and the spa has not so much as offered any conciliatory measures to make this right. This was my first time getting a spray tan here and unfortunately I wasn't satisfied. I followed all of the instructions because I have had spray tans other places but this spray tan was not good. I was blotchy all over, and honestly it didn't even make me tan. The parts that did change color were awful. My knees, feet, ankles, and between my breasts looked so bad. My arms, stomach, and legs didn't even get tan. I don't have complaints about the woman doing the spray tan but I did tell her I was going on vacation and wanted to be pretty dark, and unfortunately I was just as pale as I was when I went in with the exception of the blotchy parts. I basically had to use a self tanning lotion on my own to even get some color and I had to scrub off the areas that looked bad. I felt it was a waste of money for me and I could have done a better job on my own with tanning lotion and a mit. Needless to say I will not be returning for...

Jenny is the absolute best! I always say she has "magical fingers." I have been a client at The Spa at Spring Ridge for more than three years, and I have never had a better massage anywhere else in Berks County. Her facials are wonderful and so relaxing that I've already fallen asleep during the sessions. While she was on maternity leave, I had facials done with Ashlee and massages with Chou, and both of these ladies did superb work, as well. Since the Spa at Spring Ridge is a medical spa, clients can be reassured they are receiving high-quality treatments with highly-trained aestheticians and professional products.
