I ordered some custom shirts online and I stopped in to see if they would take my measurements. They refused and told me to go somewhere else. I can only assume that this is to try and combat online sales. I do understand this on some level, but at the same time, their response doesn't change anything. I still ordered them online. The only difference this made is if they are wrong, or if I need future alterations, I will be going somewhere else with my business. A more reasonable response would be to charge for the service. I would have paid to have my measurements taken. I just spent $300 on shirts. I'd gladly spend an extra $15 or $20 to ensure my measurements were accurate. I ordered a wedding dress online and it came in days before my wedding I ended up losing weight from the measurements that I originally took and needed the dress altered with several attempts me and my mom could not figure out how to alter the dress without completely taking it apart, we were desperate for an alteration in such a short notice, we called one day and he asked us to bring it in before he closes he prioritized getting that dress altered. Since we damaged some of the fabric we asked him if he could possibly fix it and we were worried that it wasn't fixable but then he went the extra mile and tackled that problem and the dress was fixed beautifully no damage fabric! We were in quite a pickle when my sister’s bridesmaids dress was just a little too tight. Brought it into Springboro Tailor shop and the gentleman was very polite and told us exactly what would work best. Wedding is for the end of September and he was kind enough not only to alter my sister’s dress, but my own and it was beautifully and skillfully done.
