Soooo, today we went to Warped Wing Brewery in Springboro for lunch. As with most breweries, there is an open floor concept, with an industrial type feel. The tables and chairs seemed to feel pretty low to the ground. Considering I am not a tall person, that is saying a lot.
We started off w/ an appetizer of the Tater Kegs. Its 6 oversized tater tots stuffed w/ bacon, chives, cheddar cheese, and ranch dressing on the side. These tater tots were the size of āDā batteries. They were crunchy and good and reminiscent of a loaded potato.
Companions one and five ordered the BBQ quesadilla. Both liked it but felt that the more you ate it the greasier it seemed to get. Companion five would have preferred to sub the extra grease for more BBQ sauce. Companion one also had a housemade ginger beer soda which was well received w/ a nice punch of ginger. Companion five had a side salad. Although it looked like it was served in a doggy bowl, it was a good size and your typical salad.
Companion two ordered the warped nuggets w/ mango habanero sauce and a side of jalapeno grits. The grits were a little junky, but that could have been from the jalapeno, but the cheese on top balanced it out. It was felt both items were good, not overly spicy. However, judging by the amount of water that was being consumedā¦.I wonderā¦.habanero and jalapeno? Thatās a lot of spice.
Companion three had the BBQ burger and fries. It was felt that the burger was cooked well and was good. The fries were extra crunchy. Although the meal was good, companion three will most likely not return. The atmosphere was not to their liking. It was too noisy.
Companion four had the pulled pork sandwich with Carolina sauce and fries. It was also felt that both the sandwich and fries were good.
I ordered the grilled Italian sausage with a side of housemade beer mustard and sweet potato fries. I donāt quite understand why sweet potato fries are not served w/ a sauce other than ketchup. They could do w/ some kind of special aioli to compliment them. The waitress suggested honey, but it really didnāt add to the experience, it was just sweet on sweet. The housemade mustard tasted more like a honey mustard and didnāt really add to the sausage either. The sausage with peppers and onions was able to stand on its own. I enjoyed it and would probably order that sandwich again, if ever I go back. Since they had housemade sodas, I decided to try the sarsaparilla (not sure if that is a typo on the menu). This drink was a housemade root beer w/ lime juice, muddled mint, and housemade ginger beer. Although all those things sound good together, it mostly had the aroma of rootbeer and the lime juice really came forward. The balance was a little off.
All in all, the meal was descent. I would not be the one to recommend this place, but if someone else did, I would probably...

My daughter, her friend, my mom & myself visited this location on 4/30/2025 to continue celebrating my daughter's 19th birthday. We arrived a little after 5 p.m. & it was very busy. In one room was a party (maybe also a birthday one) & several other patrons inside AND outside of the restaurant. It seems to be pet friendly (outside dining) as there were 5 dogs in the outside dining area. We chose to sit out there for the warmth. They have Adriatic chairs around a small fire pit which of course was not lit because it was warm outside. And they had several tables out there for the patrons to eat at. Our server was very polite. It was only a couple of times where we had to wait a little longer to get items that we asked for but that was understandable as she was waiting tables both outside and inside and like I said it was very busy. They were free refill drinks on the pop and the food was very delicious. It can be a little pricey but when you see the pictures of the loaded nachos you will understand why. The two things that surprised (not a good surprise) me was 1: The tator-tot appetizer that is listed under the shared items....they were big and they were stuffed but I don't think they were worth the price of $11 plus change. I would say $7.00 tops. 2: and I discussed this with our server, I got the Smashburger with an order of onion rings. Both were delicious HOWEVER when the food came to my table the onion rings were NOT HOT AT ALL! They were very much crispy and very much delicious but it was not hot. My daughter enjoyed her half full of loaded nachos which was also under the shareable and even the half full nachos was a lot of nachos! I'm glad we didn't get the full because that would have been a lot. Now that was worth the $11 plus change. Her friend got the mac and cheese which she said was very delicious and also an order of the buffalo wings which she also thoroughly enjoyed. All in all the food was very delicious, the atmosphere was very pleasant, and the music was loud enough to not be overbearing! As we were leaving we passed a table that had birthday paraphernalia atop it! That day at this restaurant was a day of celebrations!š We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and this is one place we will be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI know most reviews exaggerate, I want to be very clear that I am telling the 100% truth in this review.
Really wanted to like this place, have been looking forward to it opening for a while now, and decided it be the perfect place to have my Birthday dinner with a couple of family and friends. So we went on a week night and had to wait an hour+ for a table, which is understandable because it's new, busy, and have reduced capacity with COVID precautions. However, we then also had to wait another hour for our turn to order food. Every waiter that we came in contact with, made it obvious that customer service was the LAST thing on their minds. There were NUMEROUS times that we received a very rude remark or response from different employees, and observed them making the same remarks to other customers. We had to remind our waitress an inappropriate number of times that we placed drink orders 30+ minutes ago. With some of the people in our party never receiving their drinks even after waiting over an hour and a half! When the waitress and manager were both notified (multiple times) of this error they blamed it on the bar being backed up but did nothing to resolve the issue, how hard is it to pour 2 beers for people that have been waiting for 1 and half hours?! Rediculous.
On the positive side, the mixed drinks were terrific and so was the food, which is why I rated them 2 stars, I hope to change this rating in the future. I see the potential and hope that it does improve, but they have a LONG way to go and it'll be a long time before I give them...
