Review Date: May 12th, 2015 This blog has m’Iles’ and m’Iles’ of city park reviews. Why do I visit and review city parks? There’s quite a few reasons. One, I was a kid once and loved to visit the park every chance I could. Two, despite being an adult, we can still enjoy the outdoor aspect of the parks and swing on the swings. Three, parents may be looking for information on city parks near them and have no information to decide if its a place worth taking their kids. Four, city parks give me a thing to check out even in the most remote of towns. So, it shouldn’t be any surprise that I checked out a park while visiting the state’s capital. Iles park is about as park-y as you can get. It has your typical gazebo/pavilion where you can host birthday parties. There is some playground equipment for the kids to burn their excess energy on. There are some open acreage where you can have a picnic, play hacky sack, throw some frisbees, fly some kites, and various other outdoor activities. Besides all that, there really isn’t much else to say about Iles. It seems to be a great spot to hang out with the kids or go on a walk with your significant other.

On my way into downtown Springfield when I spotted this park and hunted for a power outlet. It's been cold the last few days and the onboard battery in the Sprinter van is running low. Surprise, there is an outlet here! It's on the north side on the building with restrooms (which was locked). I plugged in and took a walk around the park. Tennis/pickleball courts, a single baseball/softball diamond, walking paths, playground, skate park and several picnic areas with barbecue grills. Absolutely a pleasant experience this morning and now I'm at 100%.

Great park with an excellent pavilion for parties. Very roomy and the stone exterior made it extremely cool. Kids had a ball on the playground. Can't wait to enjoy another event there!

Iles Park is a place for everyone...tennis courts, pathway for walkers or bikers and a play area for children and big kids alike. There are swing sets and plenty of area to soak up sun and do your own thing. The park is located on a main street the play area is about a 100 ft away. I love it because its near me and not only do I play catch with my son/daughter...I can watch my 5 year swing her heart out on the monkey bars (their actually short enough)

So yes Google I visited quite a few times and I always have a great experience today was worth writing a review...thanks for letting me know, you know, where I...

This used to be a good quiet park years ago and I felt comfortable bringing my kids to it but now there's so much riff raff that goes there it's unbearable. My son and grand daughters came to visit and we met there so the kids could play. In the pavilion was a bunch of people smoking weed, music was loud, and they were fighting. A police officer showed up and I thought good he's gonna tell them they gotta leave but no the people came down carrying the stereo that was blaring loud music and was dancing and chopping it up with the cop. It's like they nor the cop had any regard for the other...
