The Vintage Peddler — Attraction in Springfield

Parking is a nightmare, is there parking in the back? There are literally like only 10 parking spots and they are so tight you can't maneuver a larger vehicle in that, nothing handicap about this place, inside or out. The bathrooms were clean. If you find something you love, search on ebay or market place and you may find it a bit cheaper, I know I did for a few things. It is a great place to go to kill time with a friend, or get ideas. The booths really close together, and many items are precariously arranged, I was afraid to touch anything, how do you shop like that? I purchased an item that was supposed to be 20% off and I pointed that out at the counter. She said, yes, I got that on there for you, but after I got home my receipt did not have the discount. I did not catch that in the moment because I bought several things at once- I suggest you add it all up and do the math for the the discount, the tax, and the credit card fee if you are using one, before you get to the counter so you will know the total. Also, they do not do any refunds, period. They won't help you load anything into your vehicle. If you buy a large furniture item you would think they would at least help you load it up or deliver it for a fee or something but they won't. I imagine alot of people see items they would buy if they had a way to load or get it home. I also did a search on ebay for a particular item I seen there to get a price compare and ebay suggested an item that was 5 miles from me, so I realized the exact same seller who had that booth, also listed them on ebay. Horrible service. I saw an item I wanted to purchase for Mother's Day on their facebook page. I messenger them and asked about the cost and availability of the item. They responded quickly that they had already left the shop and due to the Covid lock down would not be back at their store until the next week. They offered to check and message me the information at that time. When I had not heard from them by the following Friday at 4 pm I messaged them again. The response was the item was available. I verified their address and said I would be in to get it on Monday as the lockdown we ending then. On Monday I was told the item had been sold sometime ago. I was was then told it is there policy and practice to have the customer call and prepay for items if they see something they would like on Facebook. If I had done that in a timely manner they assured me the item would not have been sold too someone else. At no time in any conversation did they ask for my contact information or suggest I prepay to guarantee the item would not be sold to...

Me my sister and my 13 yr old teenage son were out and about on Friday March 15th and decided to stop in. We had been going to flea markets and my son was looking at old cameras and such. The minute my son and I walked in the lady behind the counter was following my son with her eyes and every time he picked up something or was looking at an item she would tell him to "put that down it is expensive" or she would look at me and say "we don't want him to break that" etc.. FIRST AND FOREMOST this is a store and these items are for SALE and WE ARE CUTOMERS and we pick things up to look them over to see if we WANT TO BUY THEM. She was RUDE and VERY IRRITATING, we will NEVER darken the doors of this place ever again. Their stuff was EXTREMELY OVERPRICED and half of this stuff you could get at a garage sale for nearly nothing. So many good stores in Spfld and Ozark/Nixa area BUT THESE...
