Our room was very clean, breakfast was delicious, and staff was helpful. Outdoor pool is currently closed for the season. Small fitness center. Breakfast included hot and cold cereals, bagels, muffins, toast, pork sausage, eggs, fried potatoes, biscuits and gravy, juice, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Yogurt was all non-fat; a full-fat option would be really nice (I eat high-fat, low-carb). Coffee came out of a machine and was pretty good. Bed and pillows were comfortable. A little convenience store has frozen meals, sodas, candy, etc for purchase. Would stay again.

Overall good experience. We wanted rooms within walking distance of JQH and everything closer was sold out. The rooms were clean and nice. The front desk staff was helpful and nice. The only thing that was not that great was breakfast...it was ok.

The known: Room was clean & had nice decor. Bed was soft, almost to soft where it seemed the head & feet were higher than the center. Everything in my room functioned as it should. Staff (only ever saw front desk) was extremely friendly & as helpful as possible, but there were things that they didn't have, like I asked for a fork (they did have a spoon). No housekeeping services (even upon request from what I heard). Realizing the situation, I asked for a trash bag so I could empty my trash; the front desk staff was appalled that I was going to do it myself & offered to come up to do it for me. Breakfast was to be included, but not provided at all by the hotel (more on that later). Elevators were clunky & slow. By the end of our stay there was only one working ice machine. Doors were propped open into lobby as common areas of hotel did not appear to have A/C. Parking was adequate. Room was quiet. There was no soap/shampoo in room, but was available at front desk upon request. No hairdryer was provided.||||The backstory: We apparently were the first "convention" since reopening from Covid. The hotel was told months in advance to be prepared, but apparently the management chose to do the ultimate minimum including staffing & repairs to the facility. The Convention Bureau apparently brought breakfast for "us" the last 2 (of 4) days of our stay (kudos to the CB). This is a high end hotel and I'm being generous with 3 stars (because my room was fine). The hotel was not prepared to, nor did it deliver a high end service and left a minimal staff to make due, yet charged full price without delivering on the...

Very nice hotel. This was my first time to the town and the hotel. The shuttle driver was super friendly and he made a wide circle around the area as we came to town so we could not only see the area, but so we could see the restaurants in the area. He even suggested several telling us which ones he liked and which ones were most popular. The hotel rooms were also very nice. It had a comforter on the bed that was about medium in thickness. I did ask for one extra blanket and was ok with that. The receptionist was also very sweet. Nice place to stay and well located on a corner with Chipotle, Steak N Shake and McDonalds on the other three corners. Plus about twenty popular food choices...

This is not the Holiday Inn Express, it is now the John Q hotel. They've stripped all the Holiday Inn signs and it is named after some rich guy from the area. The rooms are ok, nothing great. There is no fridge in the room. The amenities are sparse. There is a breakfast bar in the morning but it is at best average. The fitness center is a small room with an exercise bike, an elliptical, and another machine. It is cramped and not very great. The shower backed up during my shower so I ended in dirty water over my feet. All in all I won't be going back again, there has to be better hotels for the price...
