Today I bought one pound of “carne molida” (ground beef) for $11, which was already overpriced, but I decided to give this place a try since it’s close to home instead of going to my usual Mexican store. Unfortunately, that was a HUGE mistake.
When I got home, and opened the bag the meat had a terrible smell. I thought maybe rinsing it would help, but nothing changed—it was completely spoiled. I’m writing this because I’m extremely upset. I should have trusted my instincts when I walked in and noticed they had very little meat available and the store had a bad odor. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking it would be fine.
I strongly urge others to avoid this place. Not only is it overpriced, but they are selling rotten meat. In this economy, it’s unacceptable to charge high prices for unsafe food. I will be reporting them to the health department because this is not just bad business—it’s a serious...
