I originally had them resize my wedding ring, about 9 months had passed and the band cracked completely. So I figured I would stop by and see if they had any type of guarantee for their work. I wasnāt upset, aggressive or even expecting them to fix it for free. They were super rude to me off the gate and didnāt believe that I had them re-size it originally. They said they do guarantee their work but would I be ok paying $60? After I said not interested, they said how about $30? I again said no, as I had already paid them $150 nine months ago to have it re-sized. They rudely agreed to fix it for free. I ended up finding a text on my phone when I had them re-size it, as they texted me to pick up my ring 9 months ago. Should be enough proof that I had them do it? No the owner said not our store thatās a different jewelry store! He typed the number into his phone and it came in his contacts as āPaul Vertzi Best manā or close to that. Then he didnāt apologize or try to make things right he just thatās odd . Iām a home owner in St.Anthony, my kids are raised here, Iām a small business owner myself and I like supporting small businesses. However I would not recommend this place as I have never been treated so poorly in my life especially after already spending...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went there to ask a question about some of my jewelry and decided to sell some pieces. After looking (not testing) some of my silver necklaces, I was told what was real silver and what was not (one piece was a Tiffany & Co. silver pendant which I had previously taken to another jeweler and was told it was an actual T&Co piece, but was told at this place it was a fake and laughed that another jeweler would think it was real). I also had a few tiny gold items that were weighed together, not separated by karat and after the three employees working there went into the back room for a discussion, they came out with a total price of $81. I don't like the "secret" discussions when it comes to selling MY jewelry. I brought it before you so you should be able to discuss it in front of me. Not to mention that one of my gold pieces had been forgotten on the counter when weighing and totaling my items. He noticed the forgotten piece and took that to the person filling out the check and I still got the same $81 they first quoted as the price. I was already feeling cheated, but that made it even worse. I was in need of the cash so I accepted it, but I would not recommend selling jewelry...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stopped by The Jewelers in September 2017 in search of an engagement ring. I knew I wanted something custom-made using a non-traditional stone (alexandrite, my fiance's favorite). With Dave's help, I was able to design a custom 14K white gold ring with twists in the band set with moissanites. It was 3D printed and turned out exactly how I had envisioned it! Even though I was on a tight schedule before my proposal, Dave accommodated my needs and had the ring ready right on time!
My fiance and I went back several months later to design a matching band to be soldered to the engagement ring. It was an easy process in part because his CAD designer had the original drawing on file. The fit was perfect and we love the end result! I ended up buying my wedding band through the store as well and we were happy we could get both our rings within our budget while supporting a local jeweler.
If you are in the market for a custom-made ring and you have a design in mind, I would recommend...
