Very pleasant experience at this NPS site. The staff was very polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. By way of example, my four month son, needed to eat when arrived. We had been on the road since Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. The ranger staffing the desk set us up in one of the classrooms for my wife to comfortably breastfeed. My son was most interested in the detailed exhibit on the variety of mollusks. Beautiful poems from local poets line the wall. A wonderful mosaic aerial photo of the river lines the halls.

Jesi was great as she gave me an excellent history of the river. It was raining so I didn't...

I think this could have been better located. Worth a stop if you...
