Its a nice day trip from the metro. Nice walking trails, nice bluff views. You can watch people rock climb often. Interstate park is close, we went canoeing from the to Osceola. Its the shorter route and it was 3 hours with moderately low river levels. Im glad we did the short route as it was a lot of paddling, very slow current. It cost $50 for 1 canoe 2 paddles and 2 life jackets and a ride back to our car and another 7 dollars for a state parking sticker. That allowed us to then go park in overlook park. Really...
Read moreThis is great little spot to stop at if you are in the Taylor's Falls or St. Croix Falls area checking out the state parks, or if you are just passing through. They have free live music going on at Overlook park during the summer time, and they have had some pretty good musical acts that have played. I was pleasantly surprised with how good some of the free music has been. The statue that they have at the park is a really cool and well done bronze statue that is worth checking out.
